T:Today we are going to learn the grammar focus part.Let's start by reading these sentences carefully.Your task is to find out the rules of sentence patterns.As you read,circle all the verbs you can find.This will help us understand how verbs are used in different contexts.
T:Can anyone share a sentence you read and tell me what verb you found in it
S1:Yes.I read “She goes to school every day.” and the verb I found is “goes”.
T:Good job!Now,can anyone tell me the subject of that sentence
S2:The subject is “She”.
T:Exactly!Now let's see how the verb changes when the subject changes.

T:Now,let's move on to the grammar focus part.I want you to read the sentences in the table carefully and work in groups to discuss how the verb forms change with different subjects.Pay special attention to the rules about don't(do not) and doesn't(does not).After your discussion,we will check the answers together.
T:What did you discover about the verb forms changing with different subjects
S:We noticed that with “he,she,it”,the verb form changes to “does” and for negation,it becomes “doesn't”.
T:Excellent observation!Can you give me an example from the text
S:Yes.In the sentences “Does your father spend a lot of time fishing?Yes,he does./No,he doesn't.”,the subject “he” changes the verb form to “does” and “doesn't”.
T:Perfect!Now that we have identified the pattern,let's summarize the rules for using “do” and “does”.

T:What is the possessive form of “teacher”?
Ss:Teacher's.
T:Good job!Now use “teacher's” in this sentence:“This is the ______(teacher) book.”
Ss:This is the teacher's book.
