The teaching content of this lesson revolves around the Section B 2a—Project of the English textbook,which is typically designed as a comprehensive language practical activity.This lesson aims to improve the students' writing skills and enable students to apply their acquired language knowledge and skills in authentic or simulated situations to complete a specific task or project.The specific content may encompass reading comprehension,information extraction,opinion expression,creative writing and oral presentations.

Activity 1 Warming up and revision(感知与注意)
T:Good morning,everyone!Today we are going to learn Section B Writing,specifically how to write an introduction about your family.Before we dive into the writing task,let's take a moment to reflect.Can anyone tell me what we've learned so far about introducing our families
S1:We learned to introduce their names and relationships.
S2:We also learned to describe their looks and hobbies.
T:Excellent!Those are great points.Now,let's get ready for today's writing challenge.
设计意图:通过回顾已学知识,帮助学生快速进入学习状态,同时唤醒他们对家庭介绍相关词汇和句型的记忆,激发学生的兴趣和注意力,为后续的写作任务做好心理准备。
Activity 2 Presentation(获取与梳理)
Work on 2a
T:Now,let's read a passage together about Hu Xiao's family.As you read,try to identify the key information about each family member.After we finish reading,I'll give you a blank introduction form,and you need to complete it with the information from the passage.
(Students read the passage silently or in pairs.Then the teacher distributes the introduction form.)
T:Okay,time's up.Let's check the answers together.Who can share the first part of Hu Xiao's father's introduction
S:Hu Xiao's father is handsome,and he's a very funny man.
T:Perfect!And what sport does he like best
S:He likes football best.

Activity 3 Practice(概括与整合)
Work on 2b
T:Now it's your turn to shine!First,I want you to list some key words to describe each of your family members.You can think about their physical appearance,personalities,and maybe even some special hobbies or stories.
(Students work individually or in pairs to brainstorm keywords.)
T:Great job!Now,take out your family photo and use those keywords to introduce your family members.Remember,you have 7 minutes to write your composition.
(Students write their compositions while the teacher circulates around the classroom to provide individual support and encouragement.)

Activity 4 Polish the composition(内化与运用)
Ask students to work in groups and revise their compositions.
Get some students to share their compositions and evaluate them by themselves.
Invite some students who're good at drawing to make a family tree while the student reads his/her composition.
设计意图:在完成初稿之后,学生小组修改作文,培养合作能力。教师还组织学生以自评和互评的方式进行有意义的反馈和修改,培养学生批判评价的能力和合作学习的能力,增强学生学习英语的兴趣和自信心,达成语言知识、语言技能的训练目标,实现育人目标,有效发展核心素养。
Activity 5 Make a family tree(想象与评价)
With the teacher's help,get the students to imagine how to introduce himself/herself and how to make a family tree to introduce their family members to the class.
The teacher gives the students a sample family tree and lets them observe the content of the introduction.The structure of the article includes the age,hobby,identity and appearance of the family members.
Divide the class into four groups.Then guide each student in the group to think about possible questions,discuss the composition of the family tree presentation with the group members,and observe whether the students can actively participate in the discussion.
The students make a family tree and paste family photos on the family tree.
Invite at least three groups to complete the introduction of the family tree,and give the evaluation criteria,the requirements of comprehensive content,language accuracy,fluency and so on.After completing the introduction,students are given 1 minute to make a self evaluation and check for any content or grammatical errors.
Activity 6 Homework(反馈与强化)
Continue to polish your composition and read it out to your parents.
Section B 2a—Project
This writing activity effectively stimulated students' interest in learning and creativity,but further optimization is needed in time management to ensure that each section has enough time for in depth discussion and practice.It was observed that some students encountered difficulties in creating family trees,such as layout design and text expression.In the future,more guidance and demonstrations can be provided to help students overcome these challenges.Although the class sharing session was splendid,some students still appeared nervous in public speaking.Training in this area can be strengthened in the future to enhance students' confidence and expression skills.
