第五课时 Section B 2a—Project
In order to better understand the schools around the world,we conduct the writing practice with the aim of investigating and analyzing the locations of places in the school,the students' preference and the reason.This practical activity is designed and implemented around “the locations of places in your school”.The activity requires students to write the locations of places in their school,inquire about their daily activities and complete an email.
◆ Language Proficiency(语言能力)
1.Integrate information about the school and write an email introducing the school and daily activities.
2.Transfer and apply learned vocabulary,target structures,sentence patterns,and various functional expressions to one's own writing.
◆ Cultural Awareness(文化意识)
1.Enhance cross cultural communication consciousness.
2.Expand horizons and enhance understanding of various schools in different countries.
◆ Thinking Quality(思维品质)
1.Through project based learning,improve students' cooperation ability and team spirit.
2.Be able to actively participate in project activities organized by the teacher,keep thinking when sharing and communicating,and enjoy the joy of it.

1.Continuously improve students' writing level through self evaluation and peer evaluation.
2.Realize that keeping things clean and tidy can effectively improve learning efficiency.
◆ Teaching Focus(教学重点)
Be able to use the language learned in this unit to interview people about their schools,compare two schools,find the similarities and differences,and share them in class.
◆ Teaching Difficulties(教学难点)
Complete “Let me show you around!”Select some places to visit,then give the tour to the class,finally vote for the best tour guide.And use evaluation criteria to standardize the production of weekly course schedules.
◆ Teaching Breakthroughs(教学突破)
1.Make students have clear goals,apply the sentence patterns learned in this lesson to enhance their pragmatic abilities.
2.The teacher encourages students to write their own compositions and express themselves freely.
Activity 1 Warming up and revision(感知与注意)
T:Good morning,everyone!Before we start,let's think about what we have learned about how to write the locations of places in the school.
T:Let's think of our school.Think of the locations;Where do you often go?What is your favourite?How different is your school from Peter's?After that,let's exchange the answers.
设计意图:引导学生参与超越话语范畴的活动,运用他们所学的语言去做一些事情,并与现实生活情境联系起来。综合运用相关语言,在新的语境下表达信息,培养学生运用所学语言和文化知识解决实际问题的能力。
Activity 2 Think about places(获取与梳理)
Work on 2a
T:Think about places in your plete the notes.
Let students think about the activities they like to do,their favourite places in their own school,and the reasons why they like the places.
Let students prepare this,and give them some help if necessary.After that,let students exchange their answers.
设计意图:根据教师简要提示,有效地训练学生的口语,由说到写,有利于培养学生的写作技能,提升思维能力。
Activity 3 Writing(概括与整合)
Work on 2b
T:Please list some useful things according to 2a to talk about your school.
T:Write a reply about your school by using the information in 2a.
T:Work in groups and revise your composition.
设计意图:促进迁移创新,在完成初稿后,教师还组织学生通过自我评价和同伴评价提供有意义的反馈和修改。这不仅培养了学生的批判性评价能力,而且还培养了学生合作学习的能力,提高了学生学习英语的兴趣和信心。
Activity 4 Presentation and show(内化与运用)
Work on project
(The teacher shows a photo of a new school.)
T:Work in groups and practise giving the tour.Take turns to introduce each place.Explain it to the whole class.
(If possible,the teacher gives them a proper example.)
Students need to organize and analyze the information obtained from the photo,and summarize the locations of places in the school,and activities they do in those places.
设计意图:在讨论和组织信息的过程中,学生的写作和表达能力得到了提高,跨文化对话技能也得到了提高。
Activity 5 Write a report(想象与创造)
Write a tour report:students need to write an English tour report based on the picture of the school on the screen.
Then they are required to present their research reports and insights in class.
设计意图:通过开展汇报与写作活动,学生能够获得知识、成长和洞察力。
Activity 6 Homework(反馈与强化)
Polish your passages and share with each other.
Section B 2a—2b Beginning―→I'd like to tell you about my school.There are… Ending―→I love my school very much.What about your school?
During the teaching process,the teacher needs to prepare a worksheet in advance.And students need to imagine the tour to their schools and activities they would do,problems they would meet and solutions,and other related information.
