Ⅰ. Lead-in Teacher shows students a picture from the textbook. Ask students the question as following: Where are the students What can you see in the picture A: I can see a girl in front of the class. I can see some students / a teacher... What do you think the girl is doing A: Maybe she is making an self-introduction. Ⅱ. Free talk T: Have you introduced yourself before When was that ①come to a new class ②make new friends ③take part in a talent show ④join a new club T:What do you usually say to introduce yourself At this moment, teacher show some examples from students, and ask student what does it include. Ⅲ.Reading T: Can you predict what the passage is about A: The passage might be about a self-introduction made by a new student. Let student read the passage. Answer the question.
