教学目标 1. 能够听懂职场礼仪、员工品质、职场行为方式相关的词句,听懂并谈论实习中应关注的职场礼仪和行为规则相关话题,恰当使用所学词句描述职场行为,提出职场礼仪和行为规则建议。2. 能够比较职场礼仪、行为方式与日常生活、学习中的异同,列举、分析不恰当的职场行为,并能尝试提出建议。3. 能够了解企业文化中的职场礼仪和基本行为规则,感知职场对员工素养的基本要求和行为规则,结合对职场的客观了解,能用英语简单介绍职场礼仪和行为规则。4. 能够运用预测、把握大意、记录关键词、理解细节等听力策略完成语言任务;采用恰当的学习方法,如利用教师板书回顾课堂要点、整理和拓展思维,逐渐培养回看板书辅助课堂学习的学习意识和习惯。
思政目标:能够了解基本的职场礼仪和行为规范,提升礼仪素养。
教学重点 1. 能听懂与职场礼仪、员工品质、职场行为方式相关的词句表达,如behaviour, dress code, hold the lift, sit upright, give a business card, heavy make-up, strong perfume, make an impression, punctual, workplace etiquette, make an effort, recognise the importance of, Did everything go smoothly with your internship 等。2. 能运用目标词句描述职场行为及提出职场礼仪和行为规则建议。

Warm-up3’ T introduces character Helen, a senior student who is starting her internship as an office clerk in a local company soon, and then asks Ss to suggest proper behaviour and dress codes for Helen for her internship. T helps with related words and expressions if Ss have difficulty in giving their advice. 1. 引出主题人物为本课任务作铺垫、串联本课教学活动,提升整体教学体验。2. 从学生现有的生活经验和职场感知入手,引导学生学习相关背景知识和主题词汇。 用英文尝试说出常见的符合职场要求的服饰与行为。
Pre-listening8’ 1. Ss listen to the recording to catch the behaviour words. Ss match pictures in Activity One with the behaviour words. 通过多图拓展背景词汇,通过图、词、音、义的配对及时巩固新知。 正确匹配职场行为、着装图片和相关英文表达。
2. T asks Ss what else interns should pay attention to in the workplace besides behaviours and dress codes. T leads Ss to employee qualities and shows the adjectives in Activity Two. Ss pick out the most important ones. T encourages Ss to tell more qualities for a new employee and write them down on the board. 激活、拓展描述员工品质的相关词汇和背景知识,为后续听说教学作铺垫。 选出新员工最重要的相关品质,并能开拓思维说出更多新员工应具有的品质。
3. With board writing, T concludes that proper behaviour, dress codes and qualities in the workplace are called "workplace etiquette" and elicits that new employees like Helen need to "recognise its importance in order to make a good impression". 借助板书及时小结职场礼仪,铺垫听说中的新词句:workplace etiquette, recognise the importance of, make a good impression等,引出听力对话主题,为语言学习做准备。 理解职场礼仪包含的内容,准确说出相关词句。用英文简单表达关注职场礼仪的重要性及其原因。
While-listening23’ T tells Ss that Helen's friend Carl has given her some advice on workplace etiquette. Ss read and listen to the related words in the box in Activity One and guess what Carl's advice is. 通过听读相关词汇,增加新词汇复现率,扫清词汇障碍。做听前预测,指导学生运用听力学习策略,提高听力专注度和效率。 听懂并读出相关词句,明确与听力有关的对话主题。
Ss listen to the dialogue for the first time, tick the keywords which T has written on the board and check their guesses. 通过听力任务让学生使用活动一框内关键词快速把握大意。引导学生检验听前预测,训练学生更好地运用听前预测策略。 正确捕捉听力材料中的关键词,理解主题,获取大意。
Ss listen again and complete the blanks in Activity Two. After listening, T shows the dialogue text and Ss check their answers. Ss read and repeat the expressions and dialogue. 通过听力任务训练学生获取细节信息的策略,关注重点词句的含义和发音,通过多次跟读加深文本理解。 正确获取细节信息,梳理对话大意,正确理解并朗读重点词句。

5. According to the given dialogue, Ss work in pairs to role-play Carl and Helen. T checks Ss’ pronunciation. 根据对话进行角色扮演,帮助学生及时巩固重点词句,提高使用熟练度,也能反馈学生的发音情况,为后续语言输出打下基础。 表演对话内容,保证语音准确,对话交流自然、顺畅。
6. T introduces the situation: Helen has just returned from her internship and can’t wait to share her experiences with Carl. Ss try to guess whether Helen went smoothly with her internship or not. Ss share their answers and reasons. 通过主题人物Helen设立的新情境以自然延续语言学习活动。听前预测帮助学生保持听力兴趣并锻炼思维能力,也为重点词句的引入和反复使用提供机会。 预测Helen实习经历好坏并简单说明判断原因。
7. T reminds Ss to focus on the keyword internship and Helen’s feelings towards it while listening. Ss listen to the second dialogue for the first time to check their guesses and complete the dialogue with the sentences in the box in Activity Four. 通过听力任务,训练学生利用记录关键词和相关信息的策略来获取细节信息的能力。 准确说出Helen实习经历的好坏并补全听力文本。
8. Ss first underline and focus on the keywords in each statement in Activity Five. Then Ss listen to the dialogue again and take down related notes for later reference. 通过引导学生梳理题意解决生词问题,同时通过浏览待判断的语句,强化明确关键词的听力策略,提升学生信息判断和关键信息的提取能力。 听时准确记录关键词等相关信息,听后根据笔记内容提取关键信息正确回答问题。

Post-listening10’ 1. Ss work in pairs to underline and analyse the improper workplace behaviours in the dialogue. Try to give advice. 结合对话中提及的不当职场行为,比较、分析其与日常生活行为的异同,提出改进建议,培养学生比较、分析、建议的能力。 在对话文本中找出并分析不恰当的职场行为,尝试提出行为改进建议。
T shows more pictures related to improper workplace behaviours and helps with difficult words and expressions if needed. Ss analyse the behaviours and use the learnt expressions to give suggestions on improper workplace behaviours. 在主题语境中拓展语言知识和相关职场礼仪文化知识,培养学生运用所学判断、分析和解决问题的能力,创设任务情境,帮助学生实现知识的内化和能力的迁移,达成教学目标。 列举、描述并分析不恰当的职场行为,并能运用所学提出职场礼仪改进建议。
3. Ss work in groups of four to design an English poster titled "Workplace Etiquette", which should cover all the learnt tips in this class like Do's and Don'ts for workplace behaviour, dress codes and employee qualities. Ss can add more tips and arrange them in any logical sequence. After group planning, each group report their design in front of the class. 利用海报呈现学习成果激发学生成就感,引导学生快速回顾、梳理、总结、归纳和强化学习内容。通过海报编排、展示、讲解进一步训练学生逻辑思维、创新思维、审美及口语表达能力。 串联新学语言和企业文化相关知识设计并汇报海报基本内容和编排思路,并尝试在内容和编排上体现创新。
Homework1’ 1. Finish the poster in groups and get ready for poster display next class.2.
