1.Talk about why you want to join a certain club.
2.Think of a club you would like to set up and make a poster to find new members.

Learning Abilities●Learn to clearly elaborate the reasons for joining the club and design and make promotional posters.●Learn to determine the type and characteristics of the club you want to establish through thinking and research.●Learn to collect and process information,and search for relevant materials and content for making posters.
Thinking Qualities●Be able to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of different clubs,and clarify your own motivation for choices.●Be able to conceive unique and attractive club concepts and poster designs.●Be able to organize the reasons for joining the club and the plan for establishing a new club in an orderly manner.
Cultural Awareness●Understand the culture and value orientation represented by different clubs,and respect and tolerate diverse hobbies.●Enhance cultural cognition of teamwork and common interests through participating in club related activities.
重点:
1.Students are able to write an email about what clubs they want to join and why they want to join the clubs.
2.Students are able to write an article using the words,phrases and sentence patterns in this unit.
难点:
1.Students are able to make a poster to start their own clubs using the words,phrases and sentence patterns in this unit.
2.Students are able to interview their partners and find new members for the club.
Step 1 Review
1.Ask students to do exercises of this unit.
2.The teacher checks the answers and show the fallible words or sentence patterns on the blackboard.
(The exercises must include the key and difficult points and fallible points.)

Work on 2a
Ask students to complete the email with the words in the box.

1.Ask students to choose one club from 1b,write an email to the organizer and say why they'd like to join the club.
2.Choose some students to come to the front of the classroom and share their emails.

Work on 3a
1.Ask students to discuss in groups and think of a club their groups would like to set up.
2.Choose two or three students to come to the front of the classroom and share their ideas.
Work on 3b
Ask students to work in groups and make a poster to find new members.
(The teacher gives students examples and tell them the key information the recruitment must include)
T:The poster must have the information:club name,activities,time and place,what to do,who to contact with.
Work on 3c
1.Ask students to interview their classmates to find new members for their club.
(Each group selects one representative to come to the front for recruitment promotion.They must use the sentence patterns in 3c.)
2.Ask students to pick one club they like and vote.The poster that gets the most votes wins.
