1.Talk about Mike Davis's and Wu Binbin's favourite subjects and why they like them.
2.Introduce the subjects students have this term and describe favourite subjects and reasons.

Learning Abilities●Learn to sort out and summarize the subjects learned in this term.●Learn to observe the characteristics of different subjects and summarize their functions and popularity in various subjects.
Thinking Qualities●Be able to analyze the characteristics of different subjects and one's own preferences for them.●Be able to explain the reasons for liking certain subjects in an orderly manner to make the discussion logical.
Cultural Awareness●Reflect the recognition of the culture contained in the subjects,through thinking about the content and value of different subjects.●Cultivate one's own cultural tendency in the pursuit of knowledge and interests,based on the preference for subjects.
重点:
1.Students are able to describe accurately the subjects learned in this term,including the subject names,main contents,etc.
2.Students are able to clearly and logically express their favourite subjects with proper phrases or sentence patterns.
难点:
Students are able to accurately use relevant vocabulary and sentence patterns to reflect personal unique feelings and views when expressing their favourite subjects.
Step 1 Lead in
1.Show a video of the functions of different subjects in middle school.
T:From this video,we can see that different subjects play different roles.
2.Ask students to discuss the advantages of different subjects in groups.
3.Ask two or three groups to show their discussion in class.

Step 2 Before reading(1a)
Work on 1a
1.Ask students to write down the subjects they have today.
T:What's your class schedule today?Write down the subjects in the table.
2.Ask students to share the answers and the teacher helps to correct if necessary.

Step 3 While reading(1b~1d)
Work on 1b
1.Play the recording and ask students to read the passage after the recording.
2.Ask students to read the message board about students' favourite subjects freely,and underline all the school subjects.
T:Look at the message board.Mike Davis and Wu Binbin are talking about their favourite classes and teachers.Read the passages and underline all the school subjects each student has.
3.Ask students to share the answers and the teacher helps to correct if necessary.

1.Ask students to read again and complete the table.
