1. decide v.决定；选定
① I decide to stay at home today.
今天我决定待在家里。
② Before you make a decision, you must think it over.
在你做决定之前，你一定要仔细思考。
据例①可知“决定干某事”为 decide to do sth.。
据例② 可知decide的名词是 decision, 而“做决定”是 make a decision, 相当于动词decide。
2. try v.& n.尝试；设法；努力
I’ll try to improve. (用作动词) 我要设法改进。
Come on and give it a try. (用作名词) 来, 试试看。
两者含义不同
前者:“试图或努力去做某事”,
后者:“尝试/试验一下某种方法”。
eg：try to climb the mountain 设法向山上爬
try climbing the mountain 尝试爬上山去
try to do sth. & try doing sth.
3. I feel like I was a bird.
feel like+从句，意为“觉得好像是……”。
e.g. I feel like I’m walking through the history.
我感觉好像是倘佯在历史的长河中。
[拓展]feel like的其他用法：
feel like + 动名词，意为“想做……”。
e.g. I don’t feel like walking today.
今天我不太想去散步。
4. What a difference a day makes!
e.g. What a lovely day!
多么好的一天啊！
What nice people they are!
他们是多么好的人呀！
这是一个感叹句。英语语法规定，强调名词时，句首用what。
make a difference to ... 对……产生影响
make no difference to... 对……没有影响
5. And because of the bad weather, we couldn’t see anything below. 因为这糟糕的天气，我们看不到（山）下任何东西。
(1) 此句中 because of 后接名词性短语，而我们学过的“because”是连词，其后接句子。
because of 介词短语，“因为”，后接名词、代词、动名词或what从句等。
because 连词，“因为”，引导原因状语从句，表示直接、明确的原因或理由。
【辨析】because与because of
(2) below /b 'l / prep.& adv. 在……下面；到……下面
Below the mountain, thousands of visitors are walking up here.（作介词）
山下数以千计的游客在往上爬。
Please look at the news below.（作副词）
请看看下面的新闻。
【注意】below指的是物体在某物下方，但不一定是正下方，所指范围较宽。反义词是above。
【辨析】below/above; on/beneath, over/under
6. enough adj.足够的；充足的；充分的
eg：There isn’t enough water in our city.
我们城市没有足够的水。
He is old enough to go to school.
他足够大了可以去上学。
enough 作形容词时, 可置于所修饰的名词之前或不定代词（something,smoebody…）之后。
enough 作副词时, 一般应放在所修饰的形容词、副词或动词的后面。
