Step 1　Lead in
Show students a family photo and introduce the family photo：Who are in the photo and where are they in the photo
T：Look.Here is my family photo.The man on the left is my father.He likes playing chess.This is my mother.She likes gardening.She has many plants and flowers.The old man and the old woman in the middle are my grandparents.This is my pet dog.Its name is Coco.
Step 2　Before reading (1a)
Work on 1a
Ask students to introduce their family photo in class and the teacher helps to correct the pronunciation if necessary.
T：How many people are there in your family？Who are they and what are they like？What do they each like？What is fun about your family？Now you can share your family photos with the four questions.

Ask students to read the text and label the people in the photo.
