2.Students are able to use accurate and proper sentences flexibly to reply to a post and make friends with others.
Step 1 Review
1.Ask students to do exercises of this unit.
2.The teacher checks the answers and shows the fallible words or sentence patterns on the blackboard.
(The exercises must include the key and difficult points and fallible points.)

Step 2 Presentation(2a~2b)
Work on 2a
1.Ask students to write some sentences about themselves using the structures in 2a.
2.Choose three or four students to come to the front of the classroom and share their introductions.
(The teacher shows the sentence patterns on the blackboard:①My name is… ②I'm…years old. ③I live in… ④I love… ⑤My favourite food is… ⑥My favourite sport is…)
Work on 2b
1.Ask students to complete the reply to Pauline or Peter.
T:Do you want to make friends with Pauline and Peter?Now please fill in the blanks in 2b and finish the reply to Pauline or Peter.
2.Ask students to share their replies,for example:who they want to make friends with and why.

Step 3 Guidance on writing methods
【典型例题】假如你是13岁的陈林,来自七(八)班。你校的英语角正在招新,你准备参加。请你根据以下提示,写一篇自我介绍(Self introduction)向英语角成员们介绍一下你自己。
要求:
(1)结合主题,可适当拓展;
(2)文中不能出现真实的学校、班级和人名;

Step 4 Writing & Speaking(3a~3c)
Work on 3a
1.Ask students to answer the questions in 3a.
T:How do we make a personal profile?The questions in 3a will help you a lot.
2.Ask students to share their answers in class.
Work on 3b
1.Show students an example of a personal profile and ask them to write a short passage to make their personal profiles.
(The teacher gives detailed highlights on the PPT.When students are doing the project,the teacher walks around and gives them some guidance.)
2.Ask students to draw a photo of themselves in their profiles.
Work on 3c
1.Pick out some classmates' profiles and ask students to take turns to introduce the persons to the class,without saying the name,the others guess who he or she is.
(The teacher gives an example first.)
T:Now let's play a guessing game.One of you will read the profile when you are reading,don't say their names.And the other students guess.The one who can tell the name fast and correctly will get one point.

Step 5 Summary
Ask students to summarize the key sentence patterns of introducing a person.
Step 6 Homework
1.Polish their personal profiles.
