Background knowledge
Storyline:
An old postman has spent his whole life delivering mail to the mountain of Hunan and is about to retire. His only son is due to take over his duties. As father and son journey through the mountains, the son begins to appreciate the toil and burden his father has to bear as postman for the villagers, and the old postman is also deeply moved as his son relates his mother's anxiety as she waits for him to return home from every trip.
一位老邮差一生都在往湖南山区送信,他即将退休。他的独生子将接替他的职务。父子俩翻山越岭,儿子开始体会到父亲为村民送信所承担的辛劳和负担,而老邮差也被儿子讲述母亲每次回家等待他的焦虑深深打动。

1 Along a mountain road, a handsome young man walks fast. An older man with a strict face follows him. This is from my favourite film, Postmen in the Mountains. It's a touching story about the love between father and son.

What do you learn from the passage
The father in the movie is so much like our parents in real life, who are silent and unsmiling even if they are misunderstood by children. However, all their clumsy efforts and careful approaches aim to cross the generation gap and get closer to us. As someone said "silence is also a voice of love,the more carefully you listen, the more words you have".

名词所有格 possessive pronouns
定义:我们把表示所有关系的代词叫做物主代词(Possessive Pronouns),也叫人称代词的所有格。说的通俗易懂的,就是“谁的东西”,比如说“我的车”“他的书”“他们的位置”,这里的“我的”“他的”“他们的”就是指物主代词。
分类:
第一种是在名词词尾加's构成:多用于表示有生命的东西
第二种是“of+名词”构成的:用于表示无生命的东西
第三种是双重所有格

以-s结尾的单数名词加 -’s the boss’s order; the hostess’s photo

不规则复数名词在词尾加-’s women’s clothes ; the children’s teacher
复合名词的所有格在最后一个词的词尾加-’s his son-in-law’s car

’s所有格 :
有生命的名词 :Tom’s book(汤姆的书)、my father’s car(我父亲的车)。
表示时间、距离、天体、城市、国家的名词 :20 minutes’ walk(20分钟的步行路程)、the moon’s surface(月球表面)。
表示人的名词的所有格形式表示住所、店铺等 :Jim’s house(吉姆的家)、the doctor’s(医生的诊所)。
of所有格 :
无生命的名词 :the window of the house(房子上的窗户)、the color of the wall(墙的颜色)。
双重属格 :a friend of my father’s(我父亲的一位朋友)、a painting of mine(我的一幅画)。
