Pre-task Look at the two emails and tell the formation we can get from the beginning part. to learn the format of emails.
While-task read the 2 emails quickly and find out what the three friends are talking about read the first email and answer questions and fill in blanks read the second email and find the information we can get discuss these questions in groups: Who do you often talk to How often do you talk When do you talk with your friends choose ways way(s) of making plans in Dr Hu’s answers in these 2 aspects: How often do you make plans What does your plan look like Find the To-do list in each unit and think about how to use it. Read Yiming’s to-do list of the week. Discuss with your partners about: What parts are in Yiming’s plan Why does Yiming make the To-do list to get the main idea to read for details to think about what information is valuable to practice sentence patterns to learn how to express frequency and different kinds of plans to learn the way of using the list to learn the structure of the list and think about the purpose of making it
Post-task Plan your time of the week and make a to-do list summary to personalize the topic to consolidate the knowledge
Assignments Revise your weekly to-do list. Find a classmate and exchange your to-do lists. Give comments to each other.
