教材分析 【What】 Pauline Lee 和 Peter Brown 在论坛帖子上介绍自己。 【Why】 作者通过介绍了新加坡女孩Pauline和伦敦男孩Peter的个人经历，帮助学生了解我们需要对新朋友了解哪些方面，旨在培养学生学会如何交朋友，如何介绍自己，提升学生跨文化交际的意识，理解如何和外国学生交友，同时也了解到了网络交友的一些方式，比如在贴吧发帖子，认识更多志同道合的好朋友。 【How】 通过介绍自己的基本信息，爱好，对中国的热爱等，结实中国朋友。文本中的中国元素体现出外国朋友对中国文化的了解，包括说汉语以及中国烤鸭。
学习目标 1.根据图片，预测文章内容并简单介绍照片墙上的主人公，了解论坛和帖子的结构。（学习理解） 2.根据关键物品找到照片的主人，并完成两位主人公的个人信息填写。（学习理解） 3.使用韦恩图对比分析自己和两位主人公的异同并选出一位同学做朋友。（应用实践） 4.学习回复论坛帖子，根据评价标准改进帖子的结构内容和语言。（迁移创新）
重点 梳理两位主人公的个人信息。
难点 对比分析自己与主人公的相同点和不同点并给一位朋友写出回复。

课前活动 （10分钟） 1.The teacher leads students to learn sth about the forum and what they can do on it. 2.The teacher guides Ss to finish the task in 1a.Then the teacher asks Ss to introduce two students according to the key words. The teacher asks Ss to read fast and answer the questions. The teacher leads Ss to read the two students’ posts and match their posts with the photo boards.After that,read again and complete the table with the information from the posts. 找出论坛的功能以及能在论坛上做什么。 完成1a练习。 根据关键词介绍照片中的主人公。 快速阅读，了解文本类型和关键信息。 快速阅读论坛中两篇交友帖子，将图片与其主人匹配。 寻读文章，梳理两位外国朋友个人介绍的主要内容并填表格。 初步了解论坛的功能。 阅读前根据关键词介绍文中主人公可以帮助学生快速抓住关键信息、扫清阅读障碍。 了解文本类型，明确阅读任务。 通过速读帮助学生学会抓关键词完成匹配题；通过利用介绍维度的表格可视化工具，完成细节信息的梳理并更好的掌握自我介绍的各个维度，从而根据不同的场景进行不同侧重点的自我介绍。
课中活动 （15分钟） The teacher shows Ss the venn diagram and asks Ss to compare the similarities and differences.After that, ask Ss to try to write some sentences about themselves. 利用韦恩图对比我和两位主人公的异同。根据2a提示写出关于自己的句子介绍。 根据可视化工具—韦恩图对比自己和主人公的异同，学会利用相关句型介绍自己。
课后活动 （15分钟） 1.The teacher asks students whether they want to make friends similar to themselves or different and why. 2.The teacher encourages Ss to complete their reply to Pauline or Peter to make friends. 思考自己想要结交和自己类似的朋友还是和自己不同的朋友。 根据阅读和对比，最终选出一位同学做朋友并说出具体原因。 通过对比，发现异同，思考同类型朋友或者不同类型朋友能给自己带来什么。 帮助学生在比较中培养思维品质。并学会使用原因来表达和支撑自己的观点。
