名词
一、名词的概念
名词是表示人、事物、地点、抽象概念等名称的词。
二、名词的分类
1. 普通名词和专有名词
● 普通名词：表示一类人或事物或一个抽象概念的名称，
如：book（书）、teacher（老师）、city（城市）等。
● 专有名词：表示特定的人、地方、机构、组织等的名称，
如：China（中国）、Tom（汤姆）、the Great Wall（长城）等。专有名词首字母通常大写。
2. 可数名词和不可数名词
● 可数名词：可以用数目来计算的名词，有单数和复数两种形式。
如：apple（苹果，单数）、apples（苹果，复数）。
● 不可数名词：不能用数目来计算的名词，一般没有复数形式。
如：water（水）、milk（牛奶）、bread（面包）等。
三、可数名词的复数形式变化规则
1. 一般情况下，直接在词尾加 -s。
如：book - books，pen - pens。
以 s、x、sh、ch 结尾的名词，在词尾加 -es。
如：bus - buses，box - boxes，brush - brushes，watch - watches。
以“辅音字母 + y”结尾的名词，变 y 为 i，再加 -es。
如：baby - babies，city - cities。
以 f 或 fe 结尾的名词，变 f 或 fe 为 v，再加 -es。
如：knife - knives，leaf - leaves。
部分以 o 结尾的名词，加 -es。如：potato - potatoes，tomato - tomatoes。
但也有一些以 o 结尾的名词直接加 -s，如：photo - photos，piano - pianos。
四、不可数名词的量化表达
用“数词/冠词 + 量词 + of + 不可数名词”来表示不可数名词的数量。如：a piece of paper（一张纸）、two cups of tea（两杯茶）。
五、名词所有格
1. 表示有生命的名词所有格，一般在名词后加“'s”。
如：Tom's book（汤姆的书）、my mother's bag（我妈妈的包）。
以 s 结尾的复数名词，在词尾加“'”。
如：the students' books（学生们的书）。
表示无生命的名词所有格，一般用“of + 名词”来表示。
如：the window of the classroom（教室的窗户）。
Tom’s and Sam’s mothers 两人各自的妈妈（两个人）
Tom and Sam’s mother 两人共同的妈妈（同一人）
