The objects of the lesson are students in Grade 8.Since They are students in a rural middle school.They have poor oral English.But they have learned English for a year and a half.They have a general comprehension of English.Though their vocabulary and pronunciation are not be rich.They have confidence .They are looking forward to speaking English in our class.
二、Analysis of the teaching material
The topic of the units is volunteering and charity .In this unit,students should
grasp the new words 、new short expressions and new sentence patterns.In
addition,students can express their hope to help other using what they have learned in this unit.They can know their own ability to improve and warm others ,even the society.

1.Students can grasp new words and phrases
2.Students are able to offer help and give advice by using the following
expressions such as the modal verb

1.Students can comprehend the conversation about volunteering and grasp the keywords.
2.Students can use what they learned to express what,how and why they be volunteers.
3.Students can imitate the intonation and tone in the conversation and use correct and fluent English while communicating.

Pre-listening New Words
1.Faster Faster Faster:let students read and recite the new words and phrases on Page9.Then students play word game named “Faster Faster Faster” .
Teacher show the Chinese meaning,students say its English words as faster as they can.Teacher will give the fastest student's group a medal.
2.Tell the meaning of“Volunteer in China”to inspire students to be volunteers3. Show the picture in la,choose several students to read the ways to help others and translate it.New phrases
1.Show more pictures about volunteer's activities so that students can learn more ways to help others.
2.Lucky ball:Phrases Game.
Show all ways to help others again
Give students 3minutes to read an recite them.Then play games named“Lucky ball"to choose the lucky one to speak out the phrases.
How to give help 1.Pair-work:
Show some Chinese meanings of the target phrases.
Let students work in pairs to translate them.Then the answers together.
2.Using new phrases and the target sentence structures to make sentences While-listening
First-listening
1.Before students listen to the material,let them circle the key words of each sentences.
2.Listening to the material for the first time.Number the sentences according to the listening material.
3.Choose several volunteers to check the answers to together. Second-listening
1.Look at the sentences before listening.
2.Listening to the conversations one by one.
3.Fill in the blanks according to the conversations4.Check the answers together. Post-listening
How to give advice
1.Choose two students to read the dialogue in lc. Pair-work
1.work in pairs to translate the sentence patterns
2.Work in pairs to fill in the blanks according to the pictures. 3.Choose two students from each group.
Volunteer's phone call
1.Volunteer in our school make a call to ask students in class 13 to make conversations or plans about the coming“Volunteer Day”
2.Work in groups and have a discussion to make plans or conversations using new materials learned today.
3.Choose some volunteers to show out their works.
Watch a video about my experience to encourage students to love and cherish their learning opportunities and help people in need.
Summary

教学反思：
本堂课的学生是初二学生，学生们已经对英语有了总体的认识。尽管学生的 发音有待提高，词汇量有待增加，但是孩子们非常有信心，并且都很想要在课堂 上表现自己。本堂课的主要内容是关于志愿者服务。学生们除了掌握本节课的词 汇和句型目标，还要学会帮助别人的方法、如何提供帮助以及如何给出建议。通 过本堂课的练习和老师的讲解，鼓励学生们帮助困难的人，并让孩子们拥有强烈 的社会责任感，愿意为志愿服务贡献自己的力量。
优点：
1.课堂氛围热烈，互动较好，学生们在课堂上能够轻松运用目标结构表达自 己的想法。
2.课堂鼓励环节，运用统一的鼓励语言-- “good,better ,best” 和统一 的鼓励动作，当学生正确回答问题，集体的鼓励会让学生产生强烈的自豪感和成 就感。
3.本堂课的导入环节选用本校志愿者的活动图片，让学生了解志愿者活动并 不是遥不可及，用身边人的例子更能唤起学生们对志愿者活动的好奇心和可行性。
4.掌握目标单词环节，运用抢答的方法，课堂氛围热烈。
5.整堂课进行小组对战，能够唤起学生的胜负欲和表现欲。
6.寻求帮助别人新方法部分，展示图片后，鼓励学生可用汉语回答，也可用 英语回答。这样做，可以降低回答问题门槛，让更多的学生参与英语课堂，拥有 自我成就感。
7.在课堂知识巩固运用环节运用“模拟电话”,学校志愿者的求助电话，让 学生们小组合作完成对话或意见表达。
8.教师自己录制视频讲解自我成长经历，以此唤起大家对留守儿童的关注， 让更多的人愿意帮助别人。
9.最后，总结环节运用“小老师”的方法，引导学生自我总结本堂课的收获。
10.作业环节
设计为两部分，第一部分为必做作业，所有学生可对本堂课的内容进行巩 固练习；第二部分为选做作业，学生可根据自身情况，选择完成，不做硬性要求。 缺点：
1.很多环节的准备环节，给学生的练习时间不足。
2.最后的小组展示环节，因为时间有限，展示的数量不够，导致很多学生 没能展示自己。
