Welcome to the unit
一、板块定位
本单元的话题是“我们的学校,属于“人与自我”主题范畴下的“生活与学
习”主题群中“多彩、安全、有意义的学校生活”子主题。涉及的语篇内容有图
片、音频、对话、视频脚本、电子邮件、表格等。本单元的教学旨在帮助学生了
解融入新校园,增进对学校的感情,享受多彩、安全、有意义的校园生活。
Welcome to the unit 的话题为校园场所,包含一段介绍阳光中学的录音、六
幅学校场所的图片、两名学生谈论各自学校的对话和一个讨论更多学校场所的开
放性问题。本板块通过图片、音频和文本将学生带入谈论新学校的情境,并在该
情境中学习介绍学校场所、表达个人对学校场所感情的词汇和句式,启发学生补
充新学校的其他场所信息,以增进学生对校园的了解,为单元学习做好热身。
二、教学目标
通过本课时学习,学生能够:
1 借助图片和音频,获取、识记和理解描述学校场所的词汇和语言表达;
2 获取和梳理对话中 Millie 和 Kate 各自的学校场所信息,提取和归纳询问同学校
信息、表达对学校情感的词汇和语言表达;
3 运用相关词汇和语言表达,和同伴开展问答活动,相互交流自己的新学校情况
并表达感受。
4. 理解对学校的感情来自于学校提供的学习氛围而非学校外在条件,帮助学生
树立正确价值观。
三、设计思路
Step 1. Lead -in

设计意图:由七(1)班学生的在校活动引出学校各类场所的生词及相关活动,
扫清词汇障碍。同时鼓励学生用生词描述自己的校园活动及相应场所,激活已知,
激发学习兴趣。
Step 2: Part A
1.Have students listen to an introduction to Sunshine Midde School and finish Part A
on page 31.

Step 3: Part B
1.Have students listen to Millie and Kate's conversation in Part B and answer the
questions.
(1) What is Student A ’s favourite part in her school
(2) Whose school has more classrooms
(3) Do they like their own school
Answer
Millie likes the modern library best.
Millie’s school.
Yes. They both love their school.
2.Have students read the conversation along with the recording and then read in
different roles. Then have students answer the questions.
(1) How do you know they love their own school
(2) Do you believe Millie loves her school Why
(3) Do you believe Kate really loves her school Why
(4) What should we do if we meet friends in primary school according to the talk
Possible answer
(1) Because they talk about their school with many words like “great”, “big”, “best”,
“clean” etc.
(2) Yes. Because her school is modern, big, bright and clean.
(3) No. Because her school is not big or modern.

Yes. Because her school is a good place to study.
(4) We should greet each other, care about each other and support each other.
Teacher summarizes students’ answers and show the tips.
Tip 1: We can show our love to something with positive adjectives (正面的形容词)
words like “great”, “big”, “best”, “clean” “enjoy” etc.
Tip 2: We should love our school because it is a great place for learning not because it
is big or modern.
Tip 3: When we meet friends in primary school, we should greet each other, care
about each other’s life and support each other even though (即使) we are not in the
same school.
3. Have students read the conversation again and answer the question.

设计意图:通过听音频、回答问题、读对话,让学生寻找体现 Millie 和 Kate 喜
爱学校的语言表达及原因,帮助学生树立正确价值观。帮助学生有意识地关注整
体学习并有效帮助学生深入思考如何描述校园场所并用恰当的语言表达对学校
进行客观合理地评价。
Step 4: Further thinking

Talk with your partners.

A school also has some art rooms, music rooms, nice computer rooms, a big
hall, …

设计意图:以开放性问题引导学生自由讨论学校的其他场合,联系实际,分享观
点。
Step 5: Practice
Have students introduce their own school in pair, using Millie and Kate’s conversation
as a model.

设计意图:引导学生结合实际,根据 B 中所提炼出来的句型表达,谈论自己的新
学校,询问他人的新学校并进行简单对比,巩固所学内容,同时为本单元的后续
学习做好准备。
Step 6: Overview
(1) Have students look at the picture on page 30 and answer the following question.
