Unit 7 Happy Birthday!
Project (3a–3d)
【教学内容】
一起庆祝你的生日。
【核心素养】

难点：训练学生如何组织语言，清晰、准确地表达自己的想法。
【教学过程】
Step 1 Lead– in
1. Greet the students and ask them about their recent happenings.
2. Play a birthday song to set the mood for the lesson.
Step 2 Work on 3a
1. Ask a student, “ When is your birthday ” and guide them to answer with“ It's on…”.
2. Repeat with several other students to model the language structure.
3. Divide the class into small groups and ask them to find out the birthdays in their group. Have students write the birthdays on the calendar in 3a. Circulate around the classroom to assist and monitor the activity.
Step 3 Work on 3b
Ask each group to identify who has a birthday this month.
Step 4 Work on 3c
Guide the groups to discuss meaningful ways to celebrate the birthdays together. Brainstorm ideas for celebration time, place, invitees, and activities. Encourage students to consider factors like budget, accessibility, and interests. When they discuss, they can use the questions in 3c to ask each other.
Step 5 Work on 3d
1. Each group prepares a brief presentation to report their celebration plan to the class. Each group presents, and the rest of the class listen and take notes.
2. Conduct a class vote to select the best plan, emphasizing creativity and practicality.
Step 6 Summary and Homework
Summarize the key points of the lesson, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and crea- tivity.
Assign homework: Have students reflect on the lesson and write a short paragraph about their ideal birthday celebration.
