教学重难点 1. Teaching focus Master the pronunciation rules of the vowel letters a, e, i, o, u in the open and closed syllables. Be able to read out the words correctly by using the pronunciation rules. 2. Teaching difficulties Distinguish between the different sounds of the vowels in the open and closed syllables. Use pronunciation rules to accurately spell out unfamiliar words.
教学过程 1. Lead-in By playing an English song or an interesting English animation, arouse students' interest and pay attention to the pronunciation of English words. Ask the students which vowel pronunciation they heard in the song or animation, and guide the students to think about the pronunciation of vowel pronunciation. 2. Presentation (Presentation) Show some words containing the vowel letters a, e, i, o, u such as "like, cat, cat, he, hen, bike, bit, nose, not, cue, cut" etc. Guide the students to observe the position and pronunciation of vowels in these words, and summarize the pronunciation rules of vowels in the open and closed syllables. Open syllable: a syllable ending with a vowel, or a vowel + consonant + silent e, and the vowel reads the sound of the letter itself. Closed syllables: Syllable ending with one or several consonants (except r) with only one vowel in the middle, with the vowel reading short notes. Practice exercises (Practice) Let the students do word reading exercises, give some words that meet the pronunciation rules, and let the students read their pronunciation, such as "face, bag, me, met, like, sit, home, hot, use, up" and so on. Organize students to conduct group activities, each group gives some words containing vowel letters, let the other groups judge whether they are open or closed, and read the correct pronunciation. Reading games, such as "word solitaire", require students to meet the pronunciation rules and pronounce them correctly. 4. Consolidate (Consolidation) Let the students listen to a passage, circle the vowel words, and write the open or closed syllables form, and then read its pronunciation. Give some words with incomplete spelling, and let the students complete the words according to the pronunciation rules, such as "_at, _i_e, _ot, _u_e", etc. 5. Summary (Summary) Review the pronunciation rules with students in the vowel letters a, e, i, o, o, and u, emphasizing the key and prone points. Encourage students to use pronunciation rules to read and memorize words in their future study. 6. Job assignment (Homework Assignment) Let the students go back and read the words in the textbook, and pay attention to the pronunciation of the vowel letters.
