5. Teaching reflection
After teaching the Reading part of the second class of grade 7 Unit 2 Hobbies, I had a deep reflection. In the teaching process, I guided students to read the text and let them understand the hobbies of different characters, which helps to cultivate students' reading skills and understanding ability. For example, before reading, I asked some predictive questions that stimulated students' interest and curiosity in reading. However, I also realize that there are some shortcomings. First of all, when explaining new words and phrases, the speed is a little faster, which may lead to some students with weak foundation are not fully mastered. For example, the phrase "be good at" should be given several more examples so that students can better understand its usage, such as "He is good at playing football." and "She is good at singing." Secondly, in the classroom interaction, the enthusiasm of all students is not fully mobilized, and some students are not highly involved. More group activities should be designed in the future to give every student the opportunity to express their views. Moreover, the deep mining of the reading text is not enough. It can guide students to think about the impact of hobbies on personal growth and life, and cultivate their critical thinking. In the future teaching, I will pay more attention to the grasp of the teaching rhythm and give students enough time to digest new knowledge. Increase diversified classroom activities and encourage students to participate actively. At the same time, in-depth study of teaching materials, make full use of reading materials, improve students' comprehensive language use ability.
