Safety in production (生产安全) means preventing accidents of all kinds(防止各种事故) in the process of production(在生产过程中). It also means having good safety habits(良好的安全习惯) in a working environment.
Occupational safety and health(职业安全卫生) is a general term for production safety, labour protection and health(是生产安全，劳动保护和卫生的通称). The system aims to protect workers’ lives and well-being(该系统旨在保护工人的生命和幸福)。

Management of Production Safety
Let’s read this passage loudly.
An accident in production (生产事故) is usually due to (由于) an incorrect action(不正确的行为) that causes (造成的) death(死亡), injury(伤害), illness(疾病), loss of property(财产损失), damage to the environment (环境破坏) or other losses.
Danger includes dangerous environment, conditions, places, people etc.(危险包括危险的环境、条件、地点、人员等)
A hazard is a source or condition that may cause
injury, disease, property loss or other losses.(危险是可能导致伤害、疾病、财产损失或其他损失的源头或状况)
Hazard sources are chemical, poisonous and radioactive substances.
Because of that, workplace safety risk controls need to be strengthened, and safety supervision in key sectors and areas need to be bolstered (因此，需要加强工作场所的安全风险控制，以及强化重点行业和领域的安全监管).

In recent years, our country has made great
progress in production safety and accident
prevention. The number of industrial and mining accidents has been reducing. However, some individual factories still have problems.
近年来，我国在生产安全和事故预防方面取得了很大的进步。工矿事故数量不断减少。然而，一些个别的工厂仍然存在问题。
Luckily, since the reform and opening-up, China has issued more than 20 laws and regulations on work safety. Many laws have been made, such as Mine Safety Law, Fire Law, Coal Law, Railway Law, Construction Law and so on.
幸运的是，自改革开放以来，中国已经颁布了二十多部有关安全生产的法律法规。已经制定多部法律，如《煤矿安全法》《消防法》《煤炭法》《铁路法》《建筑法》等。
China’s production safety laws and regulations system has been established and improved step by step. In 2002, Law of the People’s Republic of China on Work Safety was made.
中国的安全生产法律法规体系已经逐步建立和完善。在2002年，《中华人民共和国安全生产法》出台。
The above laws and regulations play an important part in strengthening production safety management, and promoting the legal construction of production safety.
