教学重难点
教学重点： 1.了解对话大意，正确朗读对话内容，收集文本信息提炼文本结构。 2.迁移运用单元及课时核心词汇及句型，表达自己对他们做法的态度和观点。
教学难点： 借助视频及主题阅读材料，了解更多中外学生庆祝New Year的活动，形成对New Year的积极体验，丰富多彩的度过New Year，加深对主题意义Meaningful New Year, Meaningful every day!的理解。

Presentation 学习理解 获取与梳理 Activity 1: Learn by watching/listening/thinking/reading. T introduces Li Yan and Kate’s New Year. T asks questions about “What do they do on New Year’s Day ” Ss sort the phrases according to the text into different frequency words sections and share different opinions based on their own understanding. To form a basic structure of the dialogue and then establish a further Understanding.
Practice 内化与运用 Activity 2: Make the dialogue. T asks Ss to make a dialogue according to the key information on the PPT. Ss try to make the dialogue by pair work according to the key word on PPT.. To check if Ss grasp the main structure of the dialogue.
Practice 应用实践 Activity 4: Watch a video and Share the New Year activities. Ss try to find the what(do), why and how. Say sth. according to the mind map To check if Ss can say sth. according to the mind map.
Extension 分析与判断 批判与评价 Activity 5: Jigsaw reading. T let Ss read in groups. Share and introduce different type of New Year activities. Ss read different reading materials about New Year activities. Get to know more details about this topic. Ss view on the topic-New Year to provide more ideas for further activities.
Extension 迁移创新 Activity 6: Share and sort the activities T let Ss try to sort the activities into 3 catalogues and then retell the main content of theme reading materials. Ss try to retell the main information after theme reading. Then get key activities and write them down. To deepen the meaning of New Year activities and establish the ideas for yourself, for family and for society.
