Warming up (2 minutes) Introduction & Pictures Boys and girls, I am your new friend, Miss Yu. Today, I’m your English teacher. Before our class, I’ll show you some pictures.Let’s enjoy. Observation & Think A : Three questions: In good pictures, you can see something, hear something, and smell something. So,what can you see in these pictures What can you hear and what can you smell in the pictures B: Eg: I can see (a farm)... I can hear (cattle mooing)... I can smell (the grass)... After observing, what do you think of the farm I think the farm is big. It’s very very big. You can also say “What a big farm!” to express your feeling. So let’s practice: What a nice farm!/ What a beautiful farm! C: Do you want to know more about this big , nice and beautiful farm Let’s listen to the tape and go into it. II. Presentation (8 minutes) Learn the new words. (Watch & Learn) After listening to the tape, can you tell me what animals are on the farm (Pictures) Yes, we can see horses. horses h-o-r-s-e-s horses If there is only one, we can say : a horse a horse We can also see cows. cows c-o-w-s cows If there is only one, we can say : a cow a cow Practise the new words.
