教材分析
本课是精通英语六上Unit 6 There are four seasons in a year. 第一课时,本课以文本的形式分别介绍了春天的天气、春天植物的特点、春天人类与动物的活动等内容。学生通过阅读文本了解春天,掌握描述春天的词汇与句子,并进行英语表达。引导学生感受春天的美好,体会“一年之计在于春”的寓意,懂得珍惜时光、爱护自然的意义。
学情分析
六年级学生具备了一定的语言基础,能够运用所学语言素材进行表达与交流。在过往学习中,已积累和掌握与“month”主题相关的词汇和句子,为本单元的学习打下基础。本课将文本分为春天的天气、春天植物的特点、春天里人类与动物的活动四个话题,通过问题导引、思维导图、阅读填表等活动,帮助学生了解文本内容,获取语言知识,领悟文本意义。学生初次接触形容词比较级这一难点知识,教师通过图表等方式帮助学生理解掌握。
教学目标
1. 能够借助图片、视频正确听、说、认读单词以下词语:farm the land,go on spring outings,fly kites。 2. 能够借助图片、视频正确听、说、认读以下句子:Trees have new green leaves. There are a lot of flowers on the peach trees.Birds sing to welcome the spring. 3.能够借助图片、思维导图用英语描述春天。 4.能够借助文本阅读感受到春季的美好,懂得“一年之计在于春,一天之计在于晨”珍惜时间,热爱生活的道理。
教学重难点
教学重点: 1.能够借助图片、视频,在情境中运用语言材料描述春天。
2.能够掌握借助思维导图开展文本阅读的方法。 3.能够通过文本阅读,感知春天美好,懂得珍惜时间,热爱生活的道理。
教学难点:能够初步理解掌握形容词比较级的用法。
教学过程
Step One Warming up 激趣导入,感受新知 Enjoy a song “ Spring is coming” and answer: Question 1: How many seasons are there in a year Question 2: Which is the first season of the year 播放“春天来了”的英文歌曲,引导学生初步感知春天,并就春天的内容与学生进行互动交流。 【设计意图】 教师通过一首英文歌曲《Spring is coming》把学生带入情境,活跃课堂气氛。在互动交流中,使学生知道一年有四个季节,春天是第一个季节。学生直观了解春天,引出本课的主题,为新授做铺垫。 Step Two Presentation Know the weather in spring. Watch the video to know the weather in spring. And answer the questions to check what students know from the video. Q1:When does springtime begin A1: Springtime begins around March. Q2: Is it very cold in spring A2: No. It’s not very cold, it’s a little cold. 通过观看视频了解春天的天气,并以问题检验学生观看的效果,在问答互动中夯实所学。 Watch the PPT and listen to the teacher. Try to understand “It gets warmer and warmer/the days get longer and longer.” T: In March the temperature is six, it’s cold. So we should wear down coat.But, in April the temperature is twelve, we only wear jacket and in May the temperature is twenty-two, we just wear T-shirt. It is warm. So we say in the spring it gets warmer and warmer. T: In March,the sun rises at about six o’clock and the sun falls down at six twenty. The day is about twelve hours. In April, the sun rises earlier and falls down more late,the day is about thirteen hours.In May,let’s calculate,the day is almost fourteen hours. So the days get longer and longer. 观看课件演示与聆听教师讲解了解春天的天气变化。 Think and fill in the blanks. 【设计意图】通过观察气温线状图和日出日落时间表和聆听教师的讲解来了解春天温度和白天长度,进而理解“天气越来越温暖”和“白天越来越长”这一春天典型的气候变化,同时突破本课的重点短语warmer and warmer、longer and longer,并以填空的方式检测学生对该部分内容的理解与掌握。 Know the plants in spring. Watch the video to know the plants in Spring. Try to know why spring is green and colourful. Q1: What colour is the spring Q2: why do we say spring is green 带领学生观看春天绿色景象的视频,直观的视频让学生感受春天的美丽景色。 Watch some pictures and know the flowers on different trees. T: There are a lot of flowers on the tree.Apple trees, pear trees and peach trees. So there are a lot of flowers on apple trees,pear trees and peach trees. 认识不同树木在春天开花的颜色,进一步了解春天里植物的变化。 【设计意图】通过观看春天植物状况的视频与图片,让学生直观的感受春天的美丽景色。 3. Know the animals in spring. Enjoy a song and guess: T: Let’s listen.Who is singing S: Birds are singing. T: Why are the birds singing S: They like spring.They sing to welcome the spring. 聆听春天里小鸟的鸣叫,从听觉上让学生感受春天。 Watch a video and discuss: T: In winter,it is very cold. Some animals are hard to find food. So they sleep. But when the spring comes, they wake up from their long sleep. T: Animals like spring very much. Birds sing to welcome the spring.Some animals wake up from their long sleep. Because it gets warmer and warmer. Animals can find food easily, They can play in the nature. 观看一些动物在春天里从冬眠中苏醒的视频,了解并谈论动物在春天的活动。 【设计意图】教师借助自然界中动物们从冬季到春季的变化,引导学生逐步理解文本内容提取关键信息,学习新词汇和句型。 4.Know what people do in spring Read the passage and then fill in the blanks: T: In spring,people can also do many things. They enjoy this nice season. Read the passage and then fill in the blanks. 自读有关“人类在春天活动”的文本并完成表格填写。 【设计意图】此环节引导学生自主阅读文本,旨在培养学生的思维、记忆与信息的提取能力,为今后的语篇阅读学习打基础,同时帮助学生进一步挖掘了解更多春天的原素。 Step Three Practice T:Look at this mind map. Can you say something about the spring. let’s do it in groups. 引导学生利用思维导图复述文本,理解文意。 【设计意图】教师通过之前的各个活动,完成了本课文本的思维导图,帮助学生梳理有关春天的信息,同时理清了描述春天的语言脉络,建构出本课的文本框架。学生自主描述春天,能够促进学生逐步养成学会用英语思考和表达的习 惯与能力,也帮助学生建立起尝试绘制思维导图促进文本 阅读的方法。 Step Four Summary Enjoy the expectations T: People have many expectations for spring. Just like: Spring is very important because the whole year's work depends on a good start in spring!(一年之计在于春) An hour in the morning is worth two in the evening. (一天之计在于晨) Let’s cherish the time and seize the moment to learn well and live well. 【设计意图】分享两个与春天相关的谚语,引导学生要懂得珍惜时间把握现在,好好学习,好好生活。 作业: Task one: Read Lesson31 by yourself. Task two: Talk about spring with your good friends in English.
