教学过程
Step 1 Free talk Have students look at the four pictures on page 8 and answer the following question. What do you know about the four students in Class 1, Grade 7 at Sunshine Middle School Step 2 Presentation 1. Have students read Millie’s message to Jenny on page 11 and pay attention to the expressions in bold. 2. Have students classify the sentences in Millie’s message according to their function. Step 4 Production Have students talk with their partners about people and things in their new school, using the correct forms of the verb be. Introduce more new classmates or teachers in your new school to your family or old friends using the correct forms of the verb be. 2. Preview Pronunciation on P13. Optional homework: Make a mind map to sum up the form, meaning and use of the simple present tense of the verb be.
