教学过程
Step 1 Free talk Have students look at the pictures on page 8 and answer the following questions. What are their Chinese and English names What else do you know about them What other things do you want to know about them Step 2 View and describe Have students look at the pictures on page 8 again and describe their looks with the help of the pictures. Step 3 Read and fill Have students listen to Millie’s introductions and complete the table. Step 4 Read and practise Have students read Millie’s introductions and finish Part A on page 9, Part B on page 9 and Part C on page 10. Step 5 Read and say Have students read and say: Who would you like to choose to make friends with And why Step 6 Read and think Have students read and think: How does Millie introduce herself and her classmates Step 7 Read and learn more Have students read the passage and find out what Rosie introduces about herself. Step 8 Read and play Have students play a guessing game: One student describes one of your new classmates or teachers and the others guess who he/she is. Step 9 Read and write 1. Have students write some sentences about yourself or one of your classmates. 2. Have students read the sample writing and analyse it. Step 10 Homework Compulsory homework: 1. Complete and polish the sentences about yourself or your classmate. 2. Preview Grammar on P11-12. Optional homework: Make a powerpoint to introduce yourself or your classmate and share it with the whole class.
