教学目标
1. 能够理解对话大意,按照正确的意群及语音、语调朗读对话,并进行角色扮演。 2. 能够听、说、读、写并在情境中恰当运用句型:How tall is it It’s ... How tall are you I’m ... It’s/ I’m ... than ... 比较人或动物的外貌特征。 3. 能够听、说、读、写单词:younger, older, taller, shorter, longer,并将目标单词运用于目标句型中描述人物的外貌特点。 4. 能够理解形容词比较级的基本构词规律,即在末尾加-er。 5. 简单了解恐龙的特征。 6. 能够观察生活,在对比中发现发现差异,并辩证思考差异存在的价值,保持积极向上的心态。
教学重难点

Step I: Warm up Greetings and learning aims: Hello, boys and girls! I’m Miss Yao from Enshi Experimental primary school. Welcome to my English class! Today we are going to have the first lesson in this term, Unit 1 How tall are you Part A Let’ s talk and let’s learn. These are the learning aims of this lesson. Please try your best to finish you tasks. Class rules: Here are some class rules for you. Watch and listen carefully. Read and speak loudly. Pause and think when you need. Now take out your book and pen, please. Let’s get started. Listen and answer: First, let’s enjoy a song. And here’s a question for you, what do you see in the song (播放比较级热身歌曲)Do you like the song Yes, me too. From the song we see many familiar words like: small, smaller, smallest, big, bigger, biggest. They are positive, comparative and superlative degrees of a word. 这分别是形容词的原级、比较级和最高级。This is what we need to understand in this lesson. Beside these words, we also see fish and dinosaurs. Dinosaur is a new word in this lesson. Please listen and follow.(播放dinosaur音频)Dinosaurs lived in ancient times. There are many kinds of dinosaurs. What do you know about dinosaurs What are they like What do they eat (学生录音。学生1:They are very big and tall. 学生2:Some dinosaurs eat meat. And some eat vegetables.)Exactly! (设计意图:智慧引入,通过唱英文歌,将学生带入英语课堂。引导学生从歌曲中提取关键信息,新单词dinosaur以及形容词的比较级和最高级。为后面做好铺垫。) Step II: Presentation 1. Listen and follow. Look! The children are being with the dinosaurs. How fun! Do you know where they are Yes, they are in the museum. And we usually see the dinosaurs in the museum hall. Do you know hall It’s big and wide. Please follow me. Hall, hall. Ball, tall, call. They have the same part all, and they have the same sound / l/. (设计意图:利用教材主情景图片,引入Let's try,并通过形近单词突破新单词hall。) 2. Listen and circle. Now let’s finish the first task, listen and circle.(播放Let's try音频,学生完成学习任务一) Have you got the answers Are you right Good! How do you know Can you find the key sentences Yes, you got the point. “That one eats vegetables.” means the first dinosaur eats vegetables. So we circle A. “This one eats meat. It’s taller. ”means the second dinosaur is taller. So we circle B. 3. Look and learn taller, tallest. Look at the two dinosaurs. The first dinosaur is tall. The second dinosaur is tall, too. But we’d better say the second dinosaur is taller. Please repeat after me, tall, taller. Wow! Look at the third dinosaur. It’s very tall. We can say it’s the tallest. Tall, taller, tallest. We meet positive, comparative and superlative degrees again.(设计意图:通过运用三个恐龙图片的对比,引导学生理解tall的比较级taller和最高级 tallest。) 4. Watch and answer. That’s the tallest dinosaur in this hall. Do you know how tall it is Let’s watch the cartoon and answer this question.(学生完成学习任务二) Have you got it The answer is (播放音频Maybe 4 metres.) Metre is a unit for length. The short form is m. For example, 1 metre, 2 metres. The tallest dinosaur maybe 4 metres. What else did Mike say (播放音频Wow! It’s taller than both of us together.)Here both of us together means Zhang Peng and Mike together. (设计意图:任务导学。通过学生观看动画,初步感知对话,并完成目标句型How tall ... 的理解;通过图片,突破形容词比较级的句型构成。) 5. Listen and answer. Look at the picture. There is a small dinosaur. Let’s listen and answer these questions.(播放音频How tall is Zhang Peng Who is taller, Zhang Peng or the small dinosaur )You can underline the key sentences and finish task 3.(学生完成学习任务三)OK, the first answer is He is 1.65 metres. The second is Zhang Peng is taller than the small dinosaur. (设计意图:任务导学。通过听录音,整体感知对话内容,进一步理解对话大意,回答所提问题。) Step Ⅲ: Practice Listen and imitate. Now it’s time for us to read!
