Step 2　Choose a Plant Students choose a plant and discuss why it is important to nature, people, and culture. Step 3　Organise Ideas and Make a Poster 1.Students brainstorm ideas about the benefits of their chosen plant, such as the environmental impact, cultural significance and practical uses. 2.They organise these ideas and create a poster, ensuring to use two or three main colours. Evaluate students’ ability to identify and articulate the importance of their chosen plant. Evaluate students’ under-standing of the content of the poster based on their completion of the poster.
Purpose To help students in organising their thoughts and creating a poster that highlights the importance of their chosen plant.
3.To present the poster to the class. Step 4　Practise and Present the Poster 1.Students rehearse their presentations, explaining the importance of their chosen plant and the key points from their posters. 2.Each student presents their poster to the class. Step 5　Vote Activity Students vote on the best three presentations and the best three posters based on the effectiveness of the message and the quality of the presentation. Observe whether students have covered the main information and implicit information in the class presentation, and provide necessary guidance according to the situation.
Purpose To give students the opportunity to practise presenting their posters and to share their work with the class.
