What: It presents an overview of the amazing world of plants and invites students to consider many benefits of plants. It begins with a question about knowing facts about plants and asks whether students find plants amazing. The text then shows pictures of people engaged in various activities related to plants, such as shopping at a market and building with wood, and prompts students to answer questions about these scenes.
Why: It aims to foster students’ curiosity and appreciation for the power of plants by highlighting their numerous applications in everyday life. The text encourages students to think critically about the role of plants in our society and their potential contribution to humans.
How: The text is presented as a reading comprehension exercise, featuring a mix of open-ended and multiple-choice questions. 2.To use the simple future tense to talk about the benifits of plants. 3.To describe the im-portance of plants. Step 2　Discussion 1.Show a series of pictures, depicting various plants that benefit humans and the environment. 2.Ask students to answer questions about what plants can do for us and how they might benefit us in the future. Assess whether students can articulate the significance of plants in their presentations and discussions.
Purpose To deepen students’ understanding of the role and importance of plants, and to make them practise using the simple future tense to discuss plants’ benefits.
Homework Required: Copy and practise phrases related to plants and their benefits, and focus on correct vocabulary and sentence structures. Optional: Share knowledge about plants and their importance with others, and use the simple future tense to describe plants.

下午茶是餐饮方式之一, 现在多指英国维多利亚时代的英式下午茶(afternoon tea)。 从饮茶文化的发源来讲, 最早有下午喝茶习俗的理应是一向以茶文化著称的古代中国。 然而随着时代的发展, 将下午茶发展成一种既定习俗的则是英国人。流行着这样一种传说, 在1840年, 有一位英国上流社会的女士——贝德芙公爵夫人安娜女士, 在下午时分因百无聊赖, 便让女仆准备了少量的烤面包片、奶油和红茶。 她觉得这种感觉很好, 便邀请友人共享。 这种简便的饮食方式很快就成为英国贵族们打发下午时光的一种绝佳方式。
不过下午茶的发展也受到了当地文化的影响。 在以严谨的礼仪著称的英国, 下午茶逐渐产生了各式各样的要求与习惯, 并成为英国上流社会中每日必不可少的环节之一。
英国人喝下午茶的方式有很多, 从高贵的正式茶聚(tea party)到可以不喝茶只吃点心的餐饮(high tea), 都可以称为下午茶。 随着时代的发展, 英国女性逐渐拥有自己的事业,因此部分人视传统的下午茶为过时的习俗, 现在不是所有的英国人都一定要喝下午茶。
时下的英式下午茶一般在下午三点半到四点半进行。 英式下午茶的专用红茶为产自印度的大吉岭红茶与伯爵茶或锡兰高地红茶。 除此之外, 英国也有在下午茶时喝奶茶的习惯。 随茶而来的还有切成薄片的柠檬及奶罐。 随着时间的推移, 一些在早期不受欢迎的加味茶也逐渐被人们所接受, 这令下午茶在普通民众中流传得更为广泛。 然而喝茶并不是主要的环节, 品尝蛋糕、 三明治等各种点心反而成了最重要的部分。
