教学目标
1.Improve their language skills: (1)words and expressions about sports:soccer,stadium,boxing,badminton,marathon,event,ski, host,track,gym,gymnastics,sweat,etc. (2)pronunciation and intonation:content words are usually stressed in the sentence. (3)expression:use the structures from the listening materials to invite others to a sports event, and accept or refuse the invitation. 2.Improve their learning abilities: (1)cognitive strategy:Predict the content of this unit by looking at the picture and title and understanding the saying. (2)listening strategies:listen for main ideas,focus on key words. 3.Cultivate their culture awareness: (1)have an understanding of some fun sports events:E-sports and Blue Paint run. 4.Form their thinking qualities: (1)state reasons for making an invitation and reply to an invitation
教学内容
教学重点: 1.Learn some words and expressions about sports:soccer,stadium,boxing,badminton, marathon,event,ski,host,track,gym,gymnastic,sweat,etc. 2.Listen with proper listening strategies 3.Use proper sentence structures to invite a friend to a sports event,and reply to an invitation.
教学难点: Use listening strategies to get information.
教学过程
Step1 Preparation 1.What sports events do you know Students name the sports by looking at the pictures on PPT,and learn new words:event,soccer, badminton,marathon,boxing,ski,gymnastic,track and field. 复习、学习与运动相关的词汇。 Step2 Presentation Activity 1:Look at the posters. 1.What sports events do you like to watch Look at the posters. I like to watch a soccer game.What about you Teacher invites one student to answer the question and then invites him/her to the sports event with the sentence structures in activity 1.Students learn new words:stadium. 2.Besides the sports events mentioned in the posters,do you know any unique or fun sports Students have an understanding of the sports events mentioned in the following listening:E-sports and Blue Paint run.学习生词并梳理后文听力材料出现的关键词;通过浏览活动1的海报,感 知邀请以及答复邀请语言的能力,为听力和口头表达做准备。 Step3 Practice and Plethora of methods Activity 2:Listen to conversation 1 1.What is Shen Qi's main purpose for talking to Amy Present listening strategyl:Try to catch the main ideas instead of trying to remember and translate each word you hear. Activity 3:Listen to conversation 1 again and circle the words that the speaker stresses. 1.What are these 5 sentences used for 2.Discussion:What kind of words are stressed After listening,students check and discuss the answers with their partners and then the teacher checks with the students. Conclusion:Content words such as nouns,verbs,adjectives,adverbs,are usually stressed in the
sentences. Present listening strategy2:Focus on key words. Activity 4:Adam is inviting Julie to a sports event.Listen to Conversation 2 and answer the questions Present listening strategy2:Focus on key words Before listening,ask students what kind of key information they should listen for. Conclusion:Key words may include number,date,time,place,activity,people and reason etc. Activity2: 在实践中运用听取主旨大意及听取特定信息的听力策略。 Activity3:学习听力技巧:根据说话人的语音、语调和重读变化确定关键词,回顾及呼应U2 听力策略focus on key words;训练学生归纳总结的能力。 Activity4把听取关键信息的听力策略与通过说话人的语音语调和重读变化确定关键词的策略 联系起来,运用到听力实践中。 Step4 Performance of feedback Summary (1)Students read the two conversations. (2)Summarize some sentence structures about inviting others to a sports event and replying to the invitation from the posters,activity3 and listening conversations,and try to add more. (3)Review tag question mentioned in the listening conversations. Activity 5:Choose one of the sports events above,or you can choose other sports event you are interested in,and make a dialogue of invitation with your partner. Tips: 1.Include sports event,time,date,place,reason.. 2.Use sentence structures about inviting a friend to a sports event. 3.Use sentence structures about replying to an invitation. 4.Stress you key words. 5.Try to use tag question. Students learn new words:host,track meet,gym,sweat Ask some pairs to present the dialogue. 创设贴合学生实际的情境,为了引导学生补充信息,说前引导学生先回顾poster和
activity3以及两段听力对话的相关表达,使学生的话题输出更加流畅、丰富。 Step5 Perseverance in collecting 1.Revision: (1)Listening strategies:listen for main ideas and focus on keywords. (2)How to make an invitation.
