Period 4 Section B (1a-2b)
一、教材分析
What: 本课时内容主要分为两部分,第一部分为阅读训练,主要语篇是Peter写给Flora的回复邮件。Peter在邮件中介绍了自己的新学校,还谈论了自己喜欢的校内场所,并说明了原因。第二部分为写作训练,让学生记录相关要点,准备语言信息,并提供邮件写作的基本结构。
Why: 第一部分通过介绍Peter的新学校,进一步熟悉如何介绍学校的目标语言,并熟悉邮件写作的格式,与学生的现实生活紧密相关。第二部分在总结总结有关介绍学校语言的基础上,训练学生的写作能力,增强学生的语言输出与表达。
How: 邮件内容Peter先对自己的学校进行总体评价引入有关评价的单词,great、beautiful、modern;再重点介绍学校的三个场所包括场所的位置、学生活动及自己喜欢这些场所的原因,复习了用方位介词来表达位置的句型,介绍了像do exercises、raise the flag、spend most of our classroom in our classroom、change seats等学校活动语言,通过对食堂的描述引入Because引导的原因状语从句来表述自己喜欢食堂的原因,使整篇文章的语言更丰富。在邮件的末尾,Peter也用how about句型,询问对方的学校状况。写作练习中通过引导学生记录关键词句,使学生明白学校的写作内容有哪些,通过给出范文模版,降低学生的写作难度。
二、教学内容
1. 观察、识别电子邮件的形态特征,了解邮件的内容结构和基本格式。
2. 关于学校介绍类说明文的主要写作结构、语言特点等。
3. 谈论和描述自己学校中自己喜欢的地方及其原因。
三、教学目标
1. 掌握以下重点单词及短语:

4. 提升学生多维度思考能力及归纳,分析,总结能力。
5.能够反思自己在校园里喜欢做的事情,增强对自己校园的了解和喜爱。。
四、教学重难点
重点:1.能够通过快速阅读了解电子邮件的内容大意,推断作者写回信的主要目的
2.能够根据语篇中的各类形容词推断作者的情感态度,并能够用这些形容词描述自己的学校
难点:能够模仿课文的结构和语言给朋友写一封电子邮件,介绍自己的校园。

六、教学过程
Step 1 Lead in.
Play a game. What’s in our school? All the students say the question“What’s in our school?”together and students use the there is/are,,,in our school to answer the question one by one. The students who can’t say or say incorrectly will get a small “punishment”.
Ss: What’s in our school?
S1: There is a library in our school.
Ss: What’s in our school?
S2: There is forty classrooms in our school.

Step 2 Pre-reading
1. Work on 1a.
Show students some picture of places in school and let students talk about the following questions.
(1)What’s it and where is it?
(2)What can you do there?
(3)Do you like it?Why?
2. Work in pairs and practice.
Let students work in pairs to introduce their favourite places in school and explain the reason.
3. Look at the picture in 1b and think about the following questions.
(1)What can you see in the three pictures
(2)What do you usually do at these places
(3)What do you think the main idea is
【设计意图】通过说的练习,使语言学与用相结合,加深学生对目标语言的掌握,同时通过预测,使学生能够对文章内容有个大体的了解,训练学生的阅读能力。
Step 3 While-reading
1. Fast reading.
Read the text quickly and answer the following questions.
(1)What kind of text is it How do you know?
(2)Who is writing to whom?
(3)What is the text about?
2. Work on 1b.
What question does Peter answer? / What question did Flora ask? How do you know?
3. Let students share their answers and the reason.

Step 6 Homework
Write a short essay to reply Peter’s email according to the mind map above。
