一、教材分析
What: 语法内容主要介绍连词and，but和because的使用规则，能合理使用它们进行表达；语篇为“我”的独白，介绍自己最喜欢星期四下午的原因。
Why: 学生需学会正确的使用连词，能够合理使用它们，使语句流畅，表达合乎逻辑。
How: 第一部分通过分析总结所给例句，找到对应的连词并分析其使用规则；第二部分通过习题练习进一步使学生熟练不同连词的使用规则；第三部分通过篇章练习连词的用法，介绍了“我”喜欢星期四的原因。在介绍自己最喜欢的学课时，加入了对所学学科的认识及对任课老师的辛勤工作的认可和喜爱。引导学生思考从学科中获得的东西。
二、教学内容
1.连词and，but和because的使用规则。
2.谈谈我们最喜欢的学校日和我们在那天上什么课。
3.谈谈我们最喜欢的学科和理由。
三、教学目标
1. 掌握以下重点单词及短语：
remember，as，listen to，good at
2. 掌握下列句型：
①History is my favourite subject，but my sister doesn't like it.
②He doesn't like maths because it's boring to him.
③What subjects do you like and why
④She makes everyone in the class feel special.
3. 学生能够正确使用连词，把两个单句变为and, but连接的并列句和because连接的复合句。
4.能够思考为什么这一天是他们最喜欢的，分析这些学科的特点和意义，并培养批判性和反思性思维。
四、教学重难点
重点：
1．能够掌握特定学科的词汇和描述学科的短语。
2．能够清楚地表达最喜欢的学校日，并解释原因。
3．在表达课堂内容时，能够使用适当的连词或句子准确地传达课堂的顺序和特点。
难点：
1．能够使用适当的连词或短语使描述更加连贯和自然。
2．能够描述在最喜欢的学校日的感受和经历，并剖析原因。

六、教学过程
Step 1 Review & Lead in
Show students some conjunctions and ask them the part of speech.
T：Boys and girls，how can we make different ideas together in English A special kind of words can do this. They are called conjunctions. Are you all excited to start this journey of exploring conjunctions
【设计意图】通过看词猜词性的形式导入新课，引发学生思考，直接引入主题。
Step 2 Presentation
1. Work on 3a
（1）Let students read the sentences in the grammar box，circle conjunctions.
（2）Let students research in groups and find out the meanings and functions of conjunctions and，but，because.
（3）Let students share their discussion and complete the statements in the box with and，but，or because.
Summary：
①We use “because” to give a reason.
②We use “and” to give another idea.
③We use “but” to give two different ideas.
（4）Give students 2 minutes to understand the rules and memorize them.

Step 4 Practicing
1. Work on 3b. Let students finish 3b in two minutes.

2. Work on 3c. Complete the passage with and, but or because.
Check the answers: because, and, and, but, and, but, because
4. Let students conclude the useful sentence pattern and read the passage three times and try to recite it.

Step 5 Speaking
Work on 3d
1．Let students work in groups，do a survey in class using the questions in 3d.
T：Which is your favourite school day？What subjects do you have that day？What subjects on that day do you like and why？Who likes the same subjects as you and why？You can imitate the sentence patterns in 3c or use the key points on the blackboard to do the survey.You have three minutes.Go!
2．Choose three or four students to give a report in front of the class.
3．Choose the best one to give a prize.

Step 5　Summary
Let students make a summary about what we learned today.
