Period 2 Section A (Pronunciation-2e)
一、教材分析
What: 本课时语音练习及一篇对话篇章。语音部分任务1主要介绍了双元音/e /,/a /,/ /,/ /,/a /,/ /,/e /和/ /,和元音字母及字母组合的发这些音的规则,任务2主要介绍了“辅音+元音”的连读规则。对话篇章主要是Binbin、Emma和Meimei三人在课间聊天的场景,他们谈论了各自喜欢的学科及原因,不仅使用了形容词,还给出了更为具体的解释。
Why: 通过本课时的学习让学生学会清晰描述对不同学科的看法和感受。同时,培养学生认真对待所有学科的态度。同时也能互帮互助,不断完善自己的学习策略和学习方法。
How: 通过三人之间的交谈复习询问和回答关于最喜欢学科的目标语言;通过从个人喜好、学科特色以及对老师的情感态度而产生的学习动力等多个角度,分析了原因。
二、教学内容
1. 发/e /,/a /,/ /,/ /,/a /,/ /,/e /和/ /音的字母和字母组合以及连读现象。
2. 梳理对话询问和回答关于最喜欢学科的目标语言。
三、教学目标
1. 掌握以下重点单词及短语:
past,number,reason,good with, help sb. with,go to class
2. 掌握下列句型:
① I like all the subjects,but my favourite is maths.
②Because I'm good with numbers.
③…'s favourite subject is…
④He/She likes it because it's…
⑤ He/She also likes…
⑥What other subjects do you like?
3. 能根据对话信息提取重点内容,并分类,归纳总结。
4.能进行友好的交流,将自己最喜欢的学科及原因介绍给别人,增进对彼此的了解,同时做到互帮互助,取长补短,不断完善自己的学习策略和学习方法。
四、教学重难点
重点:
①能够利用发音为双元音的字母或字母组合规律,试读新单词并正确发音。
②能够用恰当的理由描述为什么喜欢某一学科或者从某一学科中学到了什么。
③能够清楚地陈述各学科所学的具体内容。
难点:
①能够深入思考和阐述这些学科对自己成长和发展的重要意义和影响。
②能用恰当、准确的英语表达复杂的思想和感情,表达流畅、逻辑连贯。
五、教学准备
图片,音乐,多媒体等。
六、教学过程
Step 1 Greeting and lead-in
T: Good morning, class. How are you, today?
Ss: Fine, thanks. And you?
T: I’m fine too. Sometimes we can pronounce right when we speak English right?
Ss: Yes.
T: Today, we’ll learn phonetic symbols that can help us pronounce.
...
Step 2 Pronunciation
1. Work on 1
(1)Listen and conclude.
Play the pronunciation of the following words: name;face;day,let students repeat.
T: What pronunciation does these words have in common?
Ss: They all have /e /.
T: Great. They all have /e /. Now, look at these words, do you know which words can pronounce /e /.
Ss: a;ay.
Conclude the other seven words’ pronunciation in the same way.
(2)Practice
Show the pictures of ay/oy/oi/ou/ear/ere/air/are/ure/our/oor and let students say out their pronunciation quickly. Teacher can divide students into two groups and the faster group won the game.

2. Work on 2
(1)Let students listen to the recording and take notes how the words link together.
(2)Let students repeat after the recording.
【设计意图】学生通过跟读音标及对应单词,有效练习发音和连读。
Step 3 Listening(2a)
1. Predicting.
Ask students look at the picture in 2a and answer the following questions.
(1)How many people are there in the picture?
(2)What are they doing?
【设计意图】通过看图片并回答问题,提高学生的听前预测能力,进一步提升学生的听力技巧。
2. Look through the conversation quickly.
3. Listen to the conversation and fill in the blanks.
4. Let students share the answers and the teacher corrects the answers and their pronunciation if necessary.

Step 4 Reading
1. Work on 2b.
Let students read the conversation and complete the table in 2b.
Check the answers:

2. Work on 2c
(1)Let students listen to the conversation again and pay attention to the words that link together.
(2)Let students role play the conversation. Choose some students show in class and choose the best pairs according to their pronunciation, tone and fluency.
【设计意图】通过阅读对话,完成相应练习,学生能逐渐掌握阅读技巧:注意连读。
Step 5  Speaking(2d~2f)
1. Work on 2d
(1)Let students finish the task in 2d.
T:What do you think of your school subjects?Which subject is useful/fun/important/difficult/easy?Write them down and put them in different groups.
(2)Ask two or three students to share their answers in class.
(Students share their answers with complete sentences.)
2. Work on 2e~2f
(1)Ask every student to interview two classmates and take notes.
T:Here are three questions in 2e.Ask two classmates about these questions and write their answers down.
(2)Ask students to give a report on the interview,using the notes in 2e.
(3)Choose the best student to give a prize.

Step 6  Summary
Let students make a summary about what they have learned today.

Step 7 Homework
1.Choose two of the classmates and write a short essay to introduce their favourite subjects and reasons.
2.Do the exercises in students' workbooks.
3.Extended:Search for more information about your favourite subjects and what you think of each subject.
