Period 4 Section B (1a-2b)
一、教材分析
What: 本课时内容主要分为两部分,第一部分为阅读训练,主要语篇为来自网络留言板的两篇帖子。来自加拿大的Mike Davis在第一篇帖子中介绍了自己来自哪里、学习的课程、最喜爱的学科和原因以及未来的打算等信息,最后留出问题,需要回帖人留言回复。来自中国的Wu Binbin在第回帖中介绍了自己的国籍、本学期的课程、最喜欢数学及其原因,最后表达了自己对未来的预期和展望。第二部分为写作训练,总结句型结构并在留言板上回复帖子。
Why: 第一部分通过两篇留言板帖子,向学生展示了一种信息时代下,与他人分享自己的意见或信息的方式,具有现实意义和应用意义。第二部分总结句型及回复帖子的模版,降低同学们的写作难度,减轻同学们的写作焦虑。
How: 两篇帖子都由来自哪、学什么学科、最喜欢的学科及未来打算四部分组成,结构清晰,使全文形成一个整体。语篇模仿网络留言板样式,细节完整,属于典型的新媒体语篇范畴。语篇中对喜欢某一学科从学科自身特点、学生个人优势以及对任课老师的喜好等方面做了层层剖析,做到了语言连贯,逻辑清晰。写作练习中直接给出学生句型结构和写作框架,使同学只需要填入具体信息即可,简化写作流程,降低写作难度。
二、教学内容
1. 应用文语篇的主要写作目的、结构特征、语言特点等。
2. 梳理、分类、匹配留言板信息。
3. 介绍原因的核心语言。
三、教学目标
1. 掌握以下重点单词及短语:
AM, PM, French, excellent, instrument, singer, future, term, problem, magic, life, scientist,in the future, work out, in class
2. 掌握下列句型:
①Music always makes me happy.
②He lets us play all kinds of interesting instruments.
③We learn how to work out maths problems in class.
④...and I want to be a scientist in the future.
3. 学生能够利用核心语言介绍自己,并完成给Mike的回复帖。
4. 提升学生多维度思考能力及归纳,分析,总结能力。
5.加强同学对不同学科的认知及理解,并与他人交流和分享信息;学习在跨文化情境中交流,开阔视野,增长见识,增进跨文化理解,培养跨文化交际意识和能力,提升文化自信。
四、教学重难点
重点:
1.学生能够准确描述本学期所学科目,包括学科名称、主要内容等。
2.学生能用恰当的短语或句型清晰、有逻辑地表达自己喜爱的主题。
难点:能够准确地总结和描述某一主题受欢迎的原因,并用正确的词汇和句型有条理地表达出来。

Step 1 Greet and brain storm.
Greet students and ask students what classes they have today.
【设计意图】引导学生进行头脑风暴,激发学生学习兴趣,快速引入话题。
Step 2 Pre-reading
1. Work on 1a
(1)Let students write down the subjects they have today.
T:What's your class schedule today Write down the subjects in the table.
(2)Let students share the answers and the teacher helps to correct if necessary.
【设计意图】通过填写课表,复习所学单词,并引入主题。
Step 3 While-reading(1b~1d)
Work on 1b
1.Play the recording and Let students read the passage after the recording.
2.Let students read the message board about students' favourite subjects freely,and underline all the school subjects.
T:Look at the message board.Mike Davis and Wu Binbin are talking about their favourite classes and teachers.Read the passages and underline all the school subjects each student has.
3.Let students share the answers and the teacher helps to correct if necessary.
Check the answers:
Mike Davis: maths, music, French, history, English, IT, science, gym
Wu Binbin: Chinese, history, maths, English, PE, IT, and so on
Work on 1c
1.Let students to read again and complete the table.
T:What subjects do Mike and Wu Binbin have Write down their favourite subjects and reasons in 1c.
2.Let students share the answers and the teacher helps to correct if necessary.
(Students must share in a complete sentence.)

Check the answers:
1. Mike and Binbin both have maths, history, English, and IT.
2. Mike feels good about music because it makes him happy.
3. Binbin learns how to work out maths problems in his maths class.
4. 1 like both maths and music, but I prefer music because however I feel it can make me feel better.
Step 4 Post-reading
Let students share their ideas of different subjects and the teacher makes a summary of the meaning of working hard on different subjects.

Step 5 Writing
Work on 2a
1.Let students complete the mind map in 2a with their own information.
T:What subjects do you have this term?What are your favourite subjects?You can tell us the reasons from four aspects.What do you think of the subject?What do you learn in that class?What do you think of the teacher?What is your future job
2.Let students discuss freely and share their different results.
Work on 2b
1.Let students write a message using the information in 2a.
2.Choose some students to come to the front of the classroom and share their answers.

Step 6 Homework
进一步完善课堂上的回复帖,根据上课总结的句型撰写一篇介绍自己的回帖短文。
