Period 3 Section A Grammar Focus
一、教材分析
What: 时态内容主要介绍there be句型及描述位置的方位介词;语篇为介绍英国的一间教室。
Why: 学生需学会正确的使用there be结构的陈述句及一般疑问句,能够用恰当的方位介词介绍自己的学校或教室等场所,并明白中西方教室的差异及学习氛围的不同。
How: 第一部分通过分析总结所给例句,归纳总结there be句型的陈述句,一般疑问句及其回答和常见的方位介词则第二部分通过习题练习让学生关注关注目标结构中的be动词的适当形式,并训练学生通过语境判断主语的单复数的能力;第三部分通过篇章练习描述位置的介词,通过给出的两个选择降低做题难度,同时为中西方文化差异积累素材;最后一部分通过对谈论自己的教室与英国教室的不同,强化巩固本单元核心句型。
二、教学内容
1. 询问方位的问句“Where is...”及其答语。
2. there be结构句式。
3. 描述位置的方位介词。
三、教学目标
1. 掌握以下重点单词及短语:
bookcase, screen, behind, next to, across from, between and, in front of, teacher’s desk
2. 掌握下列句型:
—Where is/are...?—It is/They are...
—Is there a/an... in your classroom?—Yes, there is./No, there isn’t.
—Are there any... in your classroom?—Yes, there are./No, there aren’t.
There is/are....
3. 学生能够用正确的语言向他人介绍自己的教室。
4.通过讨论教室设施增加学生的身份认同感,及对学校的热爱。
四、教学重难点
重点:There be 句型的基本结构和用法,以及位置介词的正确使用。
难点:灵活运用 There be 句型结合位置介词描述空间布局。

图片,音乐,多媒体等。
六、教学过程
Step 1 Lead in
Play an English video there be song, and let students sing along with the music.
T: Listen to the song and sing along with the music. .
There are pencils in the classroom. Yes, there are.
There is a cupboard on the pencils. Yes, there is.
There is a ruler on the cupboard.
There is a bookcase on the ruler.
...
T: Listen again and think about the question “What can you see in the video and where are they”?
【设计意图】通过看视频导入新课,帮助学生复习有关教室物品的同时,引入there be结构句式,并通过问题,使同学们聚焦于本课时的核心句型。
Step 2 Presentation
1. Learn the new words by PPT.
2. Work on 3a
(1)Let students look through the sentences in 3a, circle the verbs in there be structure and circle the prepositions of position, discuss in groups and try to find out the rules. Using the following questions to help students find out the rules.
How do the verb forms change with the subjects?
How should you answer the structure “Is there...” or “Are there...”?
3. Let students share their answers in class.
【设计意图】通过小组观察,讨论和总结,学生可以掌握there be句式中be动词的变化规律和用法。
Step 3 Knowledge time
1. Look through the sentences in the form in 3a and conclude the different sentence patterns about there be structure and finish the following chart.
句式 结构
肯定句 There is a/an...+地点状语.

一般疑问句 肯定回答:____________否定回答:____________
注意:there be句型中be东西遵循“_________”原则
【设计意图】观察、总结含there be的句型句式,以任务为导向,推动主动学习与深度思考。
Step 4 Practicing
1. Work on 3b.
(1)Ask students to complete the sentences with the correct words.
(2)Ask students to share their answers in class and the teacher helps to correct if necessary.
(3)Check the answers: (1)are, They’re; (2)is; (3) Is, is, It’s;(4)Are, aren’t, are;(5) is, It’s;(6) are.
2. Work on 3c.
(1)Let students finish 3c in two minutes.
(2)Check the answers:on; next to; behind; in front of; on
【设计意图】通过练习,学生能够对目标语法进行充分理解和掌握。
Step 5 Speaking
Work on 3d.
1.Students work in pairs, talk about their own classroom with there is/are and proper preposition, and then find out the differences between their own classroom and the classroom in 3c.
2.Ask some pairs to act out the dialogue in front of the class.
【设计意图】从读到说,帮助学生巩固和内化there be句式,为接下来的介绍自己的教室做好充分的语言准备。
Step 6 Imitative writing
1. Let students write a short essay to introduce their own classroom
2. Let students change, read and correct others’ essay.
3. Choose some good essays to show in class.
【设计意图】通过短文仿写介绍自己的教室,将语法知识的学习融汇与真实的交际情境之中,促进学生的学以致用。
Step 7 Homework
1. 根据课堂师生的互评,修订自己的短文。
2. 完成教师提供的课后练习题。
