Period 4 Section B (1a-2b)
一、教材分析
What: 本课时内容主要分为两部分,第一部分为阅读训练,由学校的三个社团发布的招募新成员广告构成。本语篇三则广告比较精练,语言难度与学生能力匹配,适合学生仿写练习。第二部分为写作训练,总结句型结构并撰写申请加入社团的邮件。
Why: 第一部分通过三位同学的各自需求描述,以及三个社团招募广告,设立了一个真实的生活场景,具有现实意义和应用意义。第二部分总结句型及撰写邮件的模版,降低同学们的写作难度,减轻同学们的写作焦虑。
How: 以海报形式发布的三个招募新成员广告,都包含一些基本要素,如应招者的条件,社团的主要活动内容和活动时间,联系人和联系方式等。招新广告,文本语言简洁且有号召力,聚焦社团活动内容以及学生能获得的收获。三则广告都使用了疑问句吸引、启发读者,同时用感叹句激励和号召读者。写作练习中直接给出学生句型结构和写作框架,使同学只需要填入具体信息即可,简化写作流程,降低写作难度。
二、教学内容
1.谈谈学生在不同的社团能学到什么。
2.介绍学生在学校的社团。
3.根据自己的能力和爱好选择最喜欢的俱乐部。
三、教学目标
1. 掌握以下重点单词及短语:
act out, at home, interested in, nature, beef, soon, than, more than, mind, fall, fall in love with, take photos, collect, insect, discover, wildlife
2. 掌握下列句型:
①Do you like/love...
②Can you ...
③祈使句。
3. 学生能够清晰地阐述在社团的学习收获,并介绍社团。
4. 学生能够利用核心语言介绍自己,并撰写申请加入社团的邮件。
5.能够分析和评估不同社团提供的学习内容,认识到社团在学校文化中的重要地位和作用。尊重不同社团承载的文化多样性,增强对多元文化的包容和理解。
四、教学重难点
重点:
1.学生能够运用关键短语谈论三个社团的细节,比如他们能学到什么,活动举行的时间,以及如何联系他们。
2.学生能够掌握描述社团的相关词汇和句型,能够清晰准确地表达自己的想法。
难点:
1.学生能够用英语表达,避免重复和单调的表达。
2.在老师的指导下,学生能够系统地思考和组织语言。

六、教学过程
Step 1 Warm up and revision
1.Daily greeting.
2.Check the homework.Let some students report what his/her family members can do.
【设计意图】利用学生熟悉并感兴趣的课堂用语进行交流, 复习学过的单词, 为描述自己或询问别人的才艺做铺垫; 并通过相互问候激发学生的学习兴趣。
Step 2 Presentation (1a)
Work on 1a
1.Present some new words and expressions to the students.(Show some pictures of activities on the big screen)
2.Let students try to remember the new words and expressions.
3.Show the comments in 1a to the students.
4.Lead students to read the comments.
5.Let students ask and answer.

B:She should join the book club...

Step 3 While-reading(1b~1c)
Work on 1b
1.Let students read the ads,and choose a suitable club for each student in 1a and tell the reasons.
T:Three clubs want to recruit students.Read their ads and answer two questions.
Question ①:In what clubs are students wanted
Question ②:What club may Alice,Lin Hui and Jack want to join
2.Ask students to share the answers and the teacher helps to correct if necessary.
Check the answers: Alice: Book Club; Lin Hui: Nature Club; Jack: Cooking Club
Work on 1c
1.Ask students to read again and complete the table.
T:What can we do in these clubs?When and where can we meet if we want to join the clubs?Who can we write to?Read the ads carefully and fill in the table.
2.Ask students to share the answers and the teacher helps to correct if necessary.
(Students must share in a complete sentence.)

Work on 1d
1.Let students read again and discuss the questions in 1d.
2.Choose three or four students to share the answers and the teacher states the meaning of different clubs from the perspective of the school and the country.

Step 5 Writing
Work on 2a
1.Let students read the words and phrases in the box and know the meaning of them.
2.Let students read the passage again.Complete the email with the words in the box.
Check the answers: (I’m really interested in; I love; I can; I can’t; I’d love to; Can I)
Work on 2b
1.T: Which club do you want to join Choose one club from 1b.Why do you want to join it
2.Let students write an email to the organizer(They can use the model in 2a) and encourage them to make their own passage.

Step 6 Summary
1. Let students summarize the key vocabulary and sentence patterns learned in this lesson.
2. Let students tell what they have learned in this lesson and where there are still problems.

Step 7 Homework
1.Remember the new words and phrases after class.
2.Try to retell the three clubs after class.
