一、教材分析
What: 本课时语音练习及一篇对话篇章。语音部分任务1主要介绍了辅音音素/h/,/r/,/l/,/m/,/n/,/ /,/w/,/j/的发音及其组合发这些音的规则,任务2主要介绍了语调的特点和意义。对话篇章主要是通过Teng Fei和Peter为双胞胎姐妹Emma和Ella准备生日惊喜派对,到商店购物的场景,对话在Teng Fei、Peter与售货员之间展开。对话呈现了购物时一些常用的表达,体现了真实自然的购物场景和完整丰富的交际语言,为学生使用英语进行日常购物提供了示范。
Why: 通过本课时的学习让学生知道如何列购物清单,购买生日用品,用how many/多少来谈论事物的数量和价格。同时,培养学生理性消费意识。
How: 通过三人之间的交谈,学会在沟通中获取、整理、分析与购物、数量、价格相关的信息,并给出有效的回应。学会列购物清单,并将所学到的知识应用到现实生活中的购物场景中。
二、教学内容
1. 辅音音素/h/,/r/,/l/,/m/,/n/,/ /,/w/,/j/的发音及其组合发这些音的规则以及语调的特点和意义。
2. 梳理购物时的常用表达,在讨论购物时,能够系统地阐述观点,分析不同商品的数量和价格关系,会列购物清单。
三、教学目标
【知识与技能】
1. 掌握以下重点单词及短语:
surprise,something,sale,kilo,yogurt,total,price,balloon,chocolate,pizza,list,birthday gift,birthday cake,have a sale,buy sth.for sb.,shopping list
2. 掌握下列句型:
①—Can I help you?—Yes,please.
②—How much is this birthday cake?—It's 85 yuan.
③—How much are those oranges?—Six yuan a kilo.
④—How many kilos do you want?—Five kilos,please.
⑤We'll take it.
⑥What's the total?
3. 能根据对话信息提取重点内容,并分类,归纳总结。

能够评估和比较不同的购物计划和价格,做出明智的决定。感受不同的市场环境和购物方式所体现的文化内涵。
四、教学重难点
重点:
1.学生能够区分一些容易混淆的辅音,如清音和浊音,发音位置相近的辅音等。
2.学生能够用与生日食品相关的词汇制作购物清单。
3.学生能够用适当的句型正确地询问和回答物品的数量和价格。
难点:
1.学生能够恰当地使用与购物有关的表达。
2.学生能够掌握购物清单的基本格式,包括商品名称、数量、预估价格等。

六、教学过程
Step 1 Greeting and lead-in
T: Good morning, class. How are you, today?
Ss: Fine, thanks. And you?
T: I’m fine too. Sometimes we can pronounce right when we speak English right?
Ss: Yes.
T: Today, we’ll learn phonetic symbols that can help us pronounce.

Step 2 Pronunciation
1. Work on 1
(1)Listen and conclude.
Play the pronunciation of the following words: how;house;who,let students repeat.
T: What pronunciation does these words have in common?
Ss: They all have /h/.
T: Great. They all have /h/. Now, look at these words, do you know which words can pronounce /h/.
Ss: h;wh.
Conclude the other seven words’ pronunciation in the same way.
(2)Practice
Show the pictures of /h/,/r/,/l/,/m/,/n/,/ /,/w/,/j/ and let students say out their pronunciation quickly. Teacher can divide students into two groups and the faster group won the game.
【设计意图】通过学生跟读并归纳总结,提升学生的参与感。
2. Work on 2
(1)Let students listen to a humorous conversation and repeat the conversation.
(2)Let students notice the intonation in each sentence and mark the intonation of the last word in each sentence.
(3)Ask one or two pairs of students to read the sentences and the teacher helps to correct their intonation if necessary.
【设计意图】 学生通过跟读音标、对应单词和句子,能有效地练习语调。
Step 3 Listening(2a)
1. Predicting.
Ask students look at the picture in 2a and answer the following questions.
(1)How many people are there in the picture?
(2)What are they doing?
【设计意图】通过看图片并回答问题,提高学生的听前预测能力,进一步提升学生的听力技巧。
2. Look through the conversation quickly.
3. Listen to the conversation and fill in the blanks.
4. Let students share the answers and the teacher corrects the answers and their pronunciation if necessary.

Step 4 Reading
1. Work on 2b.
Let students read the conversation and complete the table in 2b.

2. Work on 2c
(1)Let students listen to the conversation again and pay attention to the intonation.
(2)Let students role play the conversation. Choose some students show in class and choose the best pairs according to their pronunciation, tone and fluency.
【设计意图】通过阅读对话,完成相应练习,学生能逐渐掌握阅读技巧:注意语调。
Step 5  Discussion and conversation practice
1. Work on 2d
(1)Let students think about other things they would like to prepare for a birthday party and then make a shopping list.
T:What food and drinks do you want to buy?What else would you like to buy for a birthday party?Put the things in the box into different groups on the shopping list.You can add more.
(2)Divide all the students into several groups and let them discuss their ideas.
(3)Exchange their ideas and then complete the shopping list in 2d.
2. Work on 2e
(1)Let students practise buying the things on the shopping list for a birthday party using the sentence patterns.
The teacher gives an example:

(2)Let students make a conversation about shopping and share it in class.
(3)Choose the best three groups to give prizes.

Step 6  Summary
Let students make a summary about what they have learned today.

1.Share the shopping lists to students' family members.
2.Do the exercises in students' workbooks.
3.Search for more information about buying things in a store.
