Unit 7　Happy Birthday!
Period 5 Section B （Project-Reflecting）
一、教材分析
What: 本单元的项目活动是让学生策划一场集体生日会。活动3a~3d是学生参与整个的活动过程的四步。最后一部分为自我评价。
Why: 让学生各抒己见，共同探讨，充分运用本单元的目标语言。汇报和评选活动可以考查学生的综合语言运用能力，评选活动也是对学生汇报的方案进行反馈，帮助学生反思方案的合理性和需要改进的地方，提高他们的思辨能力。
How: 活动3a让学生调查组内同学的生日，并在月份栏里记录人名和日期。活动3b让学生统计在本月出生的同学。活动3c通过问题引导学生讨论如何策划一场有意义的集体生日会。活动3d是学生汇报方案和评选的环节。最后一部分通过自我反思检测学生的掌握效果。
二、教学内容
复习本单元所学的话题词汇及关键表达，深入思考如何让生日过得有意义，科学合理地安排一场有意义的集体生日会，并用英语介绍设计理由。
三、教学目标
【知识与技能】
1. 能够将本单元所学的核心目标语言迁移应用到自己的写作之中。
2. 通过小组合作，收集生日信息，并将其整合到报告中。通过谈论生日日期和庆祝方式，提高用英语交流和表达的能力。
【情感、态度与价值观】
能够对获得的信息进行筛选，并在采访和交流中思考其准确性和合理性。认识不同文化背景下生日的不同意义和价值，增强对多元文化的理解和尊重。通过交流和分享，培养跨文化交流的意识和能力。
四、教学重难点
重点：
1．学生能够用英语表达生日的日期和庆祝方式。
2．学生能够掌握与生日相关的词汇和句型，进行有效的交际。
3．学生可以有针对性地分组采访同学，获取关键信息。
难点：
1．学生能够清晰完整地回答有关生日的问题。
2．学生能够在报告中清晰地呈现采访结果，保证信息的准确传递。

六、教学过程
Step 1 Review &Lead in
1．Let students do the exercises of this unit.
2．The teacher checks the answers and shows the fallible words or sentence patterns on the blackboard.
(The exercises must include the key and difficult points and fallible points.)
【设计意图】通过练习的形式，学生能对所学知识进行复习，对易错知识进行总结并强化对易错知识的理解。
Step 2 Work on 3a
Let students work in groups，and find out the birthdays in their groups and write them on the calendar.
(Students use the sentence pattern：—When is your birthday？—It's on…)
Step 3 Work on 3b
1．Let group leaders hand in the calendar that was finished just now.
2．Ask one or two students to look at the calender and find out whose birthdays are this month and give the result.
Step 4 Work on 3c
Let students work out a meaningful way to celebrate the birthdays together.
T：When do you want to celebrate your birthdays together？Where do you want to celebrate them？Who do you want to invite？What do you want to do？Work in groups and think of some meaningful ways to celebrate the birthdays.
【设计意图】通过讨论活动，学生能充分练习本单元的目标语言和语法。合作组织语言，汇总成一篇小短文,最后全组共同讨论，修改并完善各部分内容。
Step 5 Work on 3d
1.The teacher can show the results of different groups on the screen of multimedia teaching equipment.
2.Students go through the results and compare them.
3.Let students vote for the best plan.
4.The teacher shows the voting result and analyze and evaluate the result.
【设计意图】通过投票选出最佳庆祝生日方案，激发学生学习兴趣，培养学生观察、思考、对比能力。
Step 6　Summary
Let the students think about ways to make a birthday meaningful.
Step 7　Homework
Design a birthday celebration for one of your family member.
