The analysis of the text What: It is the reading and writing part of Section B. la shows the expressions for starting a conversation. Students can use opening and farewell phrases accurately and appropriately to greet and communicate with others in 1b. Students can practise complete conversations about greeting different people and write in a standardized way in lc and 1d. Why: Through the study of the conversations and repeated practice, students are able to accurately and appropriately issue greetings and make responses according to different communication targets. Initially realize the importance of taking the initiative to greet people and politely start a conversation in interpersonal communication. How: This lesson is organized in the form of a conversation. First, it introduces how to exchange greetings and simple exchanges of information by using appropriate opening and farewell phrases.Then it presents the way in which names are formed in English and compares English names with Chinese names. Finally, the course considers how to give and respond accurately and appropriately to different audience, including first-time greetings and greetings between acquaintances. The analysis of students 【Strength】Students have learned how to greet familiar or unfamiliar people in the first class and already have the foundation to learn and master the content of this section. 【Weakness】The students are weak in how to start a new conversation with others more naturally and behave appropriately and politely, and how to end a conversation politely and naturally. There is a learning need in terms of gradually establishing and maintaining good interpersonal relationships with people.

Teaching Procedures Step I. Lead-in Greeting. The T can play a video to lead in the topic and ask a question for students to think: How do you start a conversation T ask students to think: If we want to start a conversation, what can we say Purpose of design: By connecting with previous learning, create real situations to activate students' existing new knowledge. This paves the way for the subsequent application and transfer activities. Step II Presentation The teacher guides students to finish the task in 1a-- Tick the expressions that start a conversation. T asks students to think：What are these sentences for T asks Ss to Read the picture and answer the questions to predict. T asks Ss to finish the task in 1b-- Read the conversations. Underline how people greet each other. T asks Ss to Read the conversations again and think：Do they know each other before conversation How can we know it T asks Ss to Classify and answer.
