Step 1 Warm-up Teacher organizes the class and present the classroom English on PPT. Ss try to understand the English sentences and follow the teacher several time, doing the actions.
Step 2 Lead-in Ss watch a video and answer the question: What does Doraemon (哆啦A梦)have What does Doraemon have for his first school day 2. SS read the names (new words) of things.
Step 3 Pre-listening (1a-1b) 1. Ss look at the picture and read the words in 1a. 2. Ss try to Match the things with the names.. 3. Ss learn to identify single and plural forms of nouns and use a/an . 4. Instruct students to work in pairs and describe what they have in their schoolbags. Encourage the use of "I have an/a/some...".
Step 4 While-listening (2a-2d) (Period 2) Teacher plays a video and ask them to identify the colors . 2. Listen to the color words in 2a and match them with the pictures. 3. Ss name out the colors of rainbows. 4. Play a quick game: students say the color of the characters shown by the teacher. 5. Look at the things in 2b and talk about their colours Conclude how to ask about colours. 6. Ss listen to 3 conversations and colour the things. 7. Ss listen again and complete the sentences.
Step 5 Post-listening (2e) Students read the listening passage and try to retell. Encourage the use of key phrases and vocabulary. Invite volunteers to act out the conversations from the listening exercise. Provide feedback on pronunciation and intonation. Have students work in small groups to discuss and create new conversations based on 2e.
Step 6 Summary Ss summarize the ways to talk about things and their colours. Ss do a little exercises. Ss make a self-assessment.

Step 2 Lead-in 1. Review 26 letters. 2. Ask students if they recognize the 5 special English letters. 3. Discuss what makes these letters "special."
Step 3 Presentation 1. Have students listen to and repeat words from Activity 1, focusing on vowel sounds. 2. Guide students to identify different vowel pronunciations, e.g., Aa /ei/.
Step 4 Pronunciation Show Ss what the open syllable is. Ss play games to find out the open syllables. Conclude the sounds of vowel letters in open syllables. Ss play some games: read the words with open syllables.
Step 5 Practice Listen and practice reading the words. (Activity 3) Ss play games to practice open syllables. Circle the word(s) with the sound in each group. (Activity 2) Listen and read the chant aloud.
Step 6 Summary Teacher summarize the sounds of vowel letters in open syllables. Ss check by themselves if they can read the words and make a self-assessment.
