【What】本板块延续了前一课时的话题 “Explore the meaning of greatness”,但输出形式变 成了人物传记。文章介绍了著名科学家阿尔伯特 ·爱因斯坦的杰出成就和突出贡献、人生经 历，以及睿智、幽默、和蔼可亲的性格特点。
【Why】文章注重激发读者的情感共鸣，表达作者对爱因斯坦的尊敬和爱戴，进一步突出主 题意义，凸显单元大观念“服务他人、奉献社会”。
【How】本文是一篇人物传记，共六个自然段。第一自然段简单介绍了爱因斯坦的杰出成就 和突出贡献；第二至四自然段按照时间顺序介绍了爱因斯坦的生平；第五自然段突出爱因斯 坦作为普通人的一面；最后一自然段表达作者对爱因斯坦的尊敬和爱戴。作者除了运用比喻、 拟人等修辞手法，还运用具体事例来体现人物品格、打动读者。

Write an introduction about someone you admire.
学校即将举行英文征文比赛，请你以“A Committed Person in My Family”为题，写一篇短文 参赛，讲述你所描述的人物的奉献故事。
注意：
1 . 词数80左右；
2.可适当增加细节，以使行为连贯。
(1)Ask students to choose the person they are going to write about.
T:It should be someone you think is great in some way.It can be an ordinary person,such as a parent,a relative,or a friend.
(2)Ask students to make a list of things that need to be included in their introduction.Tell them to use the outline below to help them.
Part1:Basic information about the writing ·What is the title of the writing
·What is the main idea of the writing Part 2:Your analysis of the writing
·What is the story of this person
·What achievements does he/she have Part3:Your opinion about the story

A Committed Person in My Family
When it comes to a committed person in my family,what comes to my mind first is my mother,a middle-aged woman of medium height,who devotes herself to attending to us.
My mother gets up early every morning allthe year round to prepare yummy and nutritious breakfast for our family members,while the rest of us sleep soundly and comfortably in bed. Although worn out and exhausted after a long time's work,she still takes on allthe household duties.What touches me more is that she gives up her leisure time to keep me company. Especially amazing and unbelievable is that she resigned from her favourite job to take good care of my 80-year-old grandmother,saying that being committed to family members was of great significance to her.
What a committed and remarkable woman my mother is!
