1.To decide which photos can be chosen to make our family photo albums. Step 1　Choose Family Photos 1.Instruct students to think about their family and look at their family photos to decide which ones to use for their family photo albums. 2.Encourage students to select photos that represent family activities, traditions, and loving moments. Observe whether students can select appropriate photos that reflect the essence of their family and explain the significance of their choices.
Purpose Students are encouraged to experiment and see if they can use important information to promote language internalisation.
2.To introduce our family photos. Step 2　Organise Ideas and Create a Family Photo Album　 1.Students are encouraged to use expressive language such as “This photo shows…” and “It was a very happy/sad/…moment.” to enrich their descriptions. 2.Students are prompted with questions like “Do you still remember this photo ” and “How does this photo help to understand the meaning of family ” to guide their writing. 3.Learn more useful expressions.(详见课件资源)　 Teachers observe students’ use of the core language to describe the situation, and give guidance and feedback based on students’ performance.
Purpose To help students create a coherent and meaningful family photo album that effectively communicates the importance of family and the moments they share.
3.To practice and present our family photo albums and vote on the best one.　 Step 3　Make and Share Your Family Photo Album 1.Write the introduction to your photos. 2.Practice and present your family photo album to the class. Step 4　Vote on the Best Students participate in a democratic process to vote on the best family photo album and the best presentation, considering criteria such as the emotional impact and storytelling. Evaluate students’ presentation skills, including their ability to connect with the audience.
Purpose To develop students’ public speaking skills and their ability to engage an audience through personal storytelling.
4.To understand more about the meaning of family. Step 5　Reflection 1.After completing this unit, students understand more about the meaning of family.Students express their understanding using sentences like “Love binds family together.” and “We need to…” to articulate the secret of a happy family. 2.To express their understanding, they can use words and expressions in the unit to talk about family and use possessive nouns to describe their family moments. 3.Students identify areas for improvement and set goals for enhancing their understanding and expression of family values. Assess the depth of students’ reflection and their ability to set realistic goals for future learning.　
Purpose To help students consolidate learning and promote self-reflection, encouraging them to continue growing in their understanding of family and communication skills.
Homework Required: Review Unit 3, organize your notebook, and clear up your problems. Optional: Choose more family photos and add them to your album.
