Think and share: What is the most important thing in a family Step 2 Discussion 1.Students look at pictures and answer questions about what each family is doing in the pictures. 2.Students discuss the activities they usually do with their family members. Step 3 Pair-work Students work in pairs to discuss family activities and what their family members are doing in a photo. Example dialogue: A: What activities do you usually do with your family members B: We usually… A: What are your family members doing in the photo B: My father is…and my brother is… Observe whether students can tell the activities of their family members in the pictures during group discussions and group presentations, and give necessary guidance and feedback as needed.Purpose To practise using the present continuous tense in a context that is relevant to students’ lives, focusing on describing family activities, which can reinforce their language skills.2.To introduce our family simply to the whole class.
