Assess whether students can correctly identify and use possessive nouns in sentences by observing their responses during discussions and through a quick quiz.
Purpose To provide students with a clear understanding of the rules and usage of possessive nouns, enabling them to correctly express ownership in different contexts.
2.To learn to use possessive nouns correctly. Step 2　Practice 1.Have students look at a family tree and create sentences using possessive nouns to describe relationships, such as “Tania is Catherine’s grandmother.” and “Jim is Catherine’s father.” 2.Complete the diary using the correct form of possessive nouns in brackets. Evaluate students’ ability to use possessive nouns correctly in context by checking their completed sentences and providing feedback.
Purpose To reinforce students’ understanding and application of possessive nouns in context, helping them practise forming sentences with possessive nouns based on given scenarios.
3.To use words and expressions in the unit to talk about family. Step 3　Production Work in pairs. Write down a family moment and share it with your partner.Use the words from the reading passage and the useful expressions to help you. Step 4　Exercise Observe the sentences created by students to determine if they have correctly used possessive nouns.　
Purpose To encourage students to independently apply possessive nouns in their own sentences, demonstrating their grasp of the grammar rule and its practical use.
