It was a beautiful day and the children played in the park. Maria flew her kite while Michael played on his skateboard. “Look! I'm going to try something new,” he said.Michael did a difficult jump. Then the skateboard went up and Michael fell down with a cry. The other children ran to him and asked “Are you all right Are you hurt ”
“Oh, my leg, my arm! I feel terrible!” Michael cried.

“I think you should see a doctor,” said Kangkang.“I’ll call a taxi.” Jane and Maria looked after poor Michael. “My leg really hurts,” he said.
Soon the taxi came and took Michael and his friends to the hospital. The doctor told them, “The X-rays show that it’s not serious. You can take him home. Michael, you need to rest at home for a week. Here are some pills. Take two pills, three times a day.”
The children left the hospital. Kangkang helped Michael to walk. They were glad that the accident wasn't serious and Michael felt much better.

What---语篇主题和主要内容 Section C是阅读篇,本课课文讲述了Michael 因运动不当受伤,同学们积极护送他到医院的故事。 Why---语篇传递的主题意义 告诫学生要健康运动,不要在运动中伤害了自己,影响自己的健康。 How---文体结构、语言特点及功能 本篇文章是记叙文,时态一般过去时,讲述了Michael因运动不当受伤的故事,在故事文本中巩固了提建议的说法I think you should see a doctor. 又呈现了两种提建议的说法:(1) You can take him home. (2) You need to rest at home for a week. 文章呈现了一些新的短语:play on his skateboard, try something new, fall down with a cry, call a taxi, take two pills等。

学情分析
(一)自然情况 本课授课对象为八年级学生,大部分学生英语基础较好,小部分学生对英语存有畏惧感。因此,在课堂教学中,事实性问题主要留给这部分学生回答,增加其对英语的成就感,而分析性问题则以同伴或者小组活动的形式由学生共同完成,锻炼团队合作能力。 (二)已有基础 本单元关于体育运动类的,是学生们熟悉的话题,但是现阶段的中学生们普遍是宅娃,不爱出门运动,但体育教育的占课比例已增至10-11%已然超过英语,在人们心目中的地位和分量也越来越重,故本单元的学习也恰逢其时,而且显得尤为重要。 (三)存在问题
虽然学生目前面临很多问题,但是很多学生不能准确地表达面临的困难和问题,同时不知道如何去解决这些问题。 (四)解决措施 鼓励学生在课堂上积极踊跃发言,尊重每个学生的想法,并给予客观公正的评价,而不是期待唯一的标准答案。 培养学生利用现代科学技术检索信息,查阅资料的能力。 在教学过程中,以学生为中心。创设让学生合作交流的学习情境,一起探讨、讨论,共同完成学习任务。并鼓励学生将所学内容与家长进行分享。 教学方式灵活多样,根据学生随堂掌握情况,及时做出调整和改进。 5. 从多角度多维度对学生进行多方位评价。
