学完本课后,学生能够:
1.听懂并梳理关于参观科学博物馆的对话,具体包括与科学探究相关的活动及人物的感受。 2.理解并学会在听前充分利用图片中的有效信息预测听力内容这一策略。
3.谈论自己参与科学实验和科学研究的经历,描述常见的科学现象。 重点难点

1.熟悉和科学研究经历相关的词汇和表达,学会用简单的语言描述复杂的科学现象。 2.利用图片预测听力内容,理解听力对话中的线索和关键信息。

活动一:感知与注意
1.Appreciate and discuss.
Show some pictures about museums to students and ask them to discuss the following questions. ·Have you ever visited a museum Do you know about Pictures 1~4
·What can you see and what can you doin museums Suggested answers:
·The Palace Museum,National Museum of China,China Science and Technology Museum, Shanghai Natural History Museum.

2.Ask students to learn about the cultural note of the City of Science and Industry.
Located in Paris,France,the City of Science and Industry is the biggest science museum in Europe. The goal of the museum is to spread scientific and technical knowledge among the public, particularly the youth,and to promote public interest in science,research,and industry. Attractions include a planetarium,a submarine,an IMAX theatre and special areas for children
and teenagers,where games,interactive exhibits,and experimental areas allow them to really get their thinking caps on to explore.
【设计意图】通过欣赏不同类型博物馆的图片和讨论,以及了解巴黎科学工业城的背景知识,
加深学生对博物馆的了解,激活已有知识,自然导入本课话题,提高学生对新知的好奇心。 3.Pre-listening.
(1)Ask students to look at the photos in Activity 1 and discuss the following questions. ·What are the people doing in each photo
·What do these activities have to do with science
Suggested answers:
·In Photo A,a boy is speaking to a giant dish.
In Photo B,a girl is playing a giant piano keyboard with her feet. In Photo C,a boy is looking at a blue screen.
In Photo D,a girl is standing in a hall of mirrors where she can see herself reflected thousands of times.
In Photo E,a boy is standing in front of a white light.
·Photo A:I think the dish in this exhibition is related to sound.Maybe the boy is whispering into the smaller circle and the dish can make his voice louder.
Photo B:This looks like a piano you play with your feet.Maybe it showshow sound works. Photo C:I'm not sure what this one shows,but it must be about light or eyesight.
Photo D:Itis a hall of mirrors.Maybe it has to do with the principles of reflection. Photo E:This is probably an experiment involving the composition of light.
(2)Ask students to go through the listening tip and make sure they understand its meaning. Predict by using pictures
One way to get more out of your listening is to predict what you will hear.Using the pictures provided and the knowledge you already have,you can guess the kinds of information you should listen for.At times,you may even be able to guess exactly what will be talked about.This will help you focus better when listening,making your listening more effective.
(3)Tell students that the photos in Activity 1 are related to the conversation they will hear.Ask them to try to predict the answers to the following questions using the photos in Activity 1. (Activity 2)
·Where are the people in the conversation going to go ·What kind of place is it,and what does it focus on
·What kinds of things can you do there
Suggested answers:
·They are going to a science museum.
·It is a science museum that focuses on letting visitors experience science through interactive learning exhibitions.
·You can probably try different activities to learn about sound,light,reflection,and so on.For example,you can go to a room with many mirrors facing each other so it looks like there are many copies of you!Or you can play with a big piano on the floor.

活动二:获取与梳理 While-listening.
(1)Ask students to listen to the conversation and see if their answers for Activity 2 are correct. Then have them write down the letters (A~E)for the photos in the order that they hear them described.(Activity 3)

(2)Ask students to listen again and complete the descriptionsof the photos in Activity 1.(Activity 4)

【设计意图】通过填空,学生再一次对听力对话进行梳理,锻炼在听的过程中抓取对话中的 关键信息和重要细节的能力。
活动三:概括与整合 Post-listening.
(1)Ask students to write a summary of the conversation.
Suggested answer:
Judy had a field trip to a science museum with her classmates last week.First she went to an area for light.In a hall of mirrors Judy saw herself reflected thousands of times.She also experimented with a blue screen and saw her own blood cells moving around like tiny bright lights.The thing Judy liked better was that a white light cast different shadows of Judy in every colour of the rainbow.Later Judy went to the area for sound.Judy played a giant piano keyboard with her feet,and it even produced the voices of classical singers.She also found a giant dish, which reflected thesound back and made it louder so that you could whisper to someone 17 metres away.

(2)Ask students to discuss the following questions in groups.(Activity 5)

·Yes.I would like to go to this museum to see the blue screen.I am curious to know what on
earth is going on there and why I can see my blood cells moving around like tiny bright lights.I am sure it will be a lot offun.
No.It is not convenient because it is too far from China and there is no need to go so far when we have so many interesting museums at home.We can't speak French and will have trouble in understanding what to do there.
·Yes.For example,there is the China Science and Technology Museum in Beijing and the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum.

活动四:内化与运用
1.Ask students to work in groups.Have them choose one of the museum activities in the conversation or brainstorm another scientific research or experiment that they are interested in. (Activity 6)
2.Ask students to make a short presentation to the class about their choice.Have them use the example and useful phrasesto help them.(Activity 7)
