Have students look at the picture and read the introduction.Then ask students what they know about the elephant whisperers.

·The programme is important because it protects elephants in danger and will stop them becoming endangered,which is good for the world because it protects the diversity of nature.
·took care of a kitten once.It was like a human baby because it could not look after itself and needed help with feeding.However,it could walk quickly unlike a human baby!

活动七:推理与论证 1,Listen and fill.
Ask students to listen to a piece of news about China's practices in protecting Asian clephants and fill in the blanks.
China's practices in protecting Asian elephants
① Wildlife experts have praised China's use of and sympathetic conservation to protect a herd of wild elephants marching through Yunnan Province.
② With the resources it has,China can find a way to keep the elephans safe,create a new for them or take them home,Sukumar said.
③Local residents and officials have provided them with and water.Drones and distance-imaging have been used to monitor the herd's and hundreds of emergency personnel and vehicles have been mobilized to keep the elephants safe and prevent with people.
