既可作名词,也可作动词,用法如下:
foolish形容词,意为“傻的;愚蠢的”, 相当于silly。
我真蠢,竟相信她说的话。
I was foolish enough to believe what she said.

2. get dressed 穿衣服




get dressed动词短语,意为“穿衣服”, 相当于be dressed。如果后面有表示“衣服/颜色”的名词做宾语时,需用介词in,即get/be dressed in+表示“衣服/颜色”的词。

Last Friday night, my friend invited me to her costume party. I got dressed and showed up on time. I met many friends that I had not seen for a long time. They asked me to sing a song, but I am not good at singing. So I felt embarrassed at first, but then I told them a funny story which made everyone laugh. We stayed up fairly late. I got up late the next morning and I was a little tired.
