本课是一节听力课,是一个关于在自然灾害发生时专业救援队如何救援的节目采访对话。本 采访节目邀请了曾经多次参加海内外救援任务的中国国际救援队的王先生介绍自然灾害发 生时专业救援队应该做什么,其中第一最重要的目标是救人。同时举例说明专业救援队的作 用和贡献。如王先生他们参与了2015年4月发生在尼泊尔的8.1级超强地震中救援行动, 12天营救2人,为2000人提供医疗帮助。
教学目标
在本课学习结束时,学生能够:
1.通过听力,获取面临自然灾害时专业救援队的首要职责和任务的相关信息。 2.了解救援工作的最终目的是为了减少痛苦、伤害和生命损失。
3.利用所学,讨论与灾难和救援相关的话题。
教学重难点

教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
1.Look at the pictures and answer the questions.
(1)What comes into your mind when you see the two pictures
(2)What do“a professional rescue team”mean
(3)What is a natural disaster
(4)How many natural disasters can you name
2.Watch a video and find out what disasters are mentioned. 3.Match the photos(a-d)with the descriptions(1-4).

Step 2 Pre-listening
Read Skill Builder and fill in the blanks.
设计意图:引导学生学习听力技巧“Listening for Main Ideas and Detail”,培养学生借助关键 词判断表达main idea (主旨)和 detail (细节)的句子的技能。
Step 3 While-listening
1.Listen to the first part of the interview and answer the questions.
(1)What is the interview about
(2)Who is the interviewee
(3)Which two disasters are mentioned 2.Listen again and fill in the blanks.
3.Listen again.Complete the sentences.Then decide if the sentences contain a main idea (MI) about rescue attempts or a detail (D).Write the correct letter in the brackets.
设计意图:通过听力,获取面临自然灾害时专业救援队的首要职责和任务的相关信息,并通 过练习掌握判断表达main idea (主旨)和 detail (细节)的句子的技能。
Step 4 Post-listening
Work in pairs and choose one of the topics to discuss with your partner.
(1)What can we learn from the professional rescue team Provide evidence to support your opinion.
(2)What can we do for the victims/areas struck by disasters
(3)What should we do in a natural disaster
设计意图:引导学生根据自己的英语水平和兴趣选择适合自己的与救援和灾难相关话题,进 行讨论,这样使不同程度的学生都能有最大收获。
Step 5 Notes
Guide Ss to learn some key language points.
(1)We're talking about professional teams who work in natural disaster rescue.(rescue的用法)
(2)To give youan example,one of my recent attempts was the Nepal earthquake.(attempt的用法)
(3)It must have been really tough.(tough的用法)
设计意图:通过例句和讲解,帮助学生掌握重要知识点。
Step 6 Assignment
Organize their discussion into a short passage.Then share them in class.Do remember to use the newly-learnt expressions as many as possible.
设计意图:学生根据讨论内容,整理成文。帮助学生巩固所学;提升学生创造性地表达所学 内容并进行拓展,培养迁移能力和创新意识。

本课是一节听力课,听力是采访节目中的第二部分对话,内容是如何在自然灾害发生时如地 震时做好室内、室外自我保护工作,以及若受困时如何寻求帮助的建议。
教学目标
在本课学习结束时,学生能够:
1.听懂并获取听力文本中提到的如何在自然灾害发生时进行自我保护,以及寻求帮助。 2.准确获取并判断如何使对话继续、中断和结束的功能用语。
3.在不同语境中运用礼貌的打断和结束对话的功能用语进行得体的表达。
教学重难点
【教学重点】
1.通过听力,学生能够掌握和提取在自然灾害发生时进行自我保护以及寻求帮助的信息。
2. 学会运用交际用语,在实际生活对话中维持、打断和终止对话的功能用语。 【教学难点】
在不同语境中运用礼貌的打断和结束对话的功能用语进行得体的表达。
教学过程
Step 1 Revision
Work in groups and answer the questions.
(1)What is the most important goal of search and rescue attempts
(2)How do rescue teams search for people who might be alive
设计意图:帮助学生回顾和复习上节课所学内容,回答相关问题。
Step 2 Pre-listening
According to the information of the first part of the interview,what might be mentioned in the second part
设计意图:引导学生根据采访节目的第一部分对话内容,预测第二部分谈话内容。
Step3 While-listening
1.Listen to the second part of the interview.What advice does Mr Wang give about surviving an earthquake when you're outdoors,indoors or trapped
设计意图:听第二节访谈内容,获取主要地震发生时如何自保的措施,完成表格填写。
2.Listen and imitate.Decide whether the phrases in italics are used to:maintain(M),interrupt (I)

or end (E)a conversation.Write the correct letter in the brackets
设计意图:听取关键信息,判断维持、打断、结束谈话的主要句型/表达。
Step 4 Post-listening
1.Guide Ss to learn how to keep a conversation going
2.Guide Ss to learn more expressions of interrupting a conversation. 3.Guide Ss to learn more expressions of ending a conversation.
4.Practise maintaining,interrupting and ending a conversation in the following situations.Use the expressions in Talk Builder to help you.
设计意图:拓展更多继续、打断、终止谈话的表达(句式),使学生在不同的语境中选择恰 当的表达法。

Step 6 Assignment
Think about more situations where expressions of maintaining,interrupting and ending a conversation can be used.Choose one situation to practice with their partner,then write it down to share in class.
设计意图:利用所学知识,联系实际,设计更多不同谈话情景,然后和同伴练习其中的一个, 并写下练习内容,然后全班分享,培养学生的知识迁移能力和发散思维能力。
