In this lesson you will:
1. master the usage of the simple future tense;
2. use the simple future tense to talk about the benefits of plants;
3. discuss your plan for Planting Day.
Read the sentences and pay attention to the coloured words.
Look and Say
(a) He’s going to start work in the plant.
(b) They will take a rest.
What tense are they
They are simple future tense(一般将来时).
Now find more sentences with these structures in the reading passage.
The water will rise up to the Leaf through the Stem.
The workers in the Leaf will mix water, CO2 and sunlight.
What are they going to produce
Most importantly, there will be sugar!
Another product will be oxygen, but the plant doesn’t need much of it.

表示将来某一时刻的动作或状态，或者将来某一段时间内经常的动作或状态。

E.g. She is going to visit the museum.
否定句
主语 + be (am/is/are) + not + going to + 动词原形
E.g. She is not going to visit the museum.
一般疑问句
Be (am/is/are) + 主语 + going to + 动词原形？
E.g. —Is she going to visit the museum tomorrow
肯定回答：Yes, 主语＋be动词.
否定回答：No, 主语＋be动词 +not.
—Yes, she is./ No, she isn’t.
【注意】
What is he going to do this afternoon 他今天下午要做什么
What are you going to do this weekend 你这个周末要做什么
What are they going to do this evening 他们今天晚上要做什么
1.如果要询问某人在将来某一段时间打算做什么，一般要说:
2.根据询问的具体情况，可以在句首加不同的疑问词。
E.g.When is Helen going to visit her granddaughter in China
Where is he going to have his birthday party
E.g. We are going to Hong Kong for a holiday.
They are going to China for a visit.
3. 如果表示计划到某地去，由于谓语动词go 与 going 重
复, 一般可以只说“be going to +地点"。
will＋动词原形
主语 + will + 动词原形
肯定句
E.g. I will have many presents.
否定句
主语 + will not (won’t) + 动词原形
E.g. I will not (won’t) have many presents.
一般疑问句
肯定回答：Yes, 主语＋will.
Will + 主语 + 动词原形？
否定回答：No, 主语＋won’t.
E.g. —Will you write a book
—Yes, you will. / No, you won’t.
be going to和will的区别
be going to通常表示事先经过考虑、计划或安排将要发生的事情，强调主观上已经决定要做某事，有一定的计划性和打算性。
will 则多用于客观的情况，即客观上将要发生的事情，不强调计划性。
