语序
宾语从句的语序是陈述句语序， 即：
主语+谓语 (+其他成分) /主语+系动词(+表语)
eg: We wonder when the game will start.(主谓)
He asked me what time it was. (主系) what time was it (疑问句语序)
陈述句变为宾语从句时，语序不变。
陈述句: We will win. → We believe that we will win.
疑问句变为宾语从句时， 语序变为陈述句语序。
一般疑问句：
eg: Does he live there I want to know.
I want to know if/ whether he lives there.
“ Could you help me ” he asked me.
He asked me if/ whether I could help him.
特殊疑问句：
eg: What does he want I don't know. → I don't know what he wants.
When will the game start We wonder.→We wonder when the game will start.
【拓展】
当宾语从句为 what is wrong/ what is the matter, 语序不变。
I don't know what is wrong with him.
引导词
1 从属连词
that (在从句中起连接作用， 不作成分， 无意思， 可省略)
宾语从句是陈述句时， 用that引导
He said ( that) he wanted to stay at home.
I am sure ( that) he will succeed.
【注意】不能省略 that的情况：
(1) 出现2个或以上 that引导的宾语从句， 只能省略第一个 that
He said ( that) you were too young to understand the matter and that he was asked not to tell you.
(2) that从句在介词之后
I know nothing about him except that he is from the south.
(3) that从句在“ it(形式宾语)+补语”之后
First of all, I want to make it clear that I am not against you.
(4) that从句是双宾语中的直接宾语时
I can't tell him that his mother is dead.
if/ whether (不作成分， 意：“是否”， 不可省略)
宾语从句是一般疑问句时， 用if/ whether引导。从句要用陈述语序。
Do you know if/ whether we can sit here
【注意】 if和 whether的区别
(1) 在构成 whether or not 句式, 只用 whether
We didn't know whether or not she was ready.
(2) 在动词不定式之前, 只用 whether
We haven't decided whether to go or not.
(3) 在介词之后, 只用 whether
I'm worrying about whether she will accept my invitation.
2 连接代词: what、 which、 who、 whom、 whose
3 连接副词: how、 when、 why、 where
宾语从句是特殊疑问句时， 直接用原来的疑问词引导。
此时的疑问词 (疑问代词&疑问副词) 被赋予新的名称：
连接代词& 连接副词
从句要用陈述语序。
I want to know what his name is.
Can you tell me when we will arrive in Beijing
时态
1 主句时态是一般现在时， 宾语从句该用什么时态就用什么时态， 根据语境而定。
I don't believe that he was a scientist ten years ago. 主现从实
Could you tell me how I can get to the railway station
could表示委婉语气！ 不是过去式！
2 主句时态是一般过去时， 宾语从句用相应的过去时态。 主过从过
(一般过去时， 过去进行时， 过去将来时， 过去完成时等)
He told me that he was preparing for the sports meeting at that time.
3 宾语从句所陈述的是客观真理， 其时态用一般现在时， 不受主句时态限制。
Our teacher said that January is the first month of the year. 真理永现
She told me that light travels faster than sound.
否定转移
当主句动词 think, believe, expect, feel等的主语是第一人称,谓语动词为一般现在时，否定主句谓语， 宾语从句的谓语用肯定形式。
I think he will help us.
I don't think he will help us. ( )
I think he won't help us. (X)
